Gravity? Are we still worried about it?
They want to create genetically engineered astronauts, spliced with genes from a tardigrade microscopic insect. This is retardigradely playing like God.
4 light years to our CLOSEST star system, that’s only 25 trillion miles away, or a short 4 years if you travel at 671 million miles an hour.
And if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue ascending therein,
They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched
{ وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِیهِ یَعۡرُجُونَ (14) لَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَـٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ (15) }
[Surah Al-Ḥijr: 14-15]
A horrifying fact: 60% of female scientists have experienced sexual harassment/assault while on the Arctic research missions
it's hard to believe that Israel, one of the leaders in space research and technology, is also killing Palestinians and destroying their homes because they want to steal Palestinian land. it's like there's some sort of connection between scientific progress and absolute horrible human exploitation 😢 US, Israel, Germany, what a group…
Looking for the golden rivet will do it every time . …
People listen to Elon musk and he makes it sound so easy but it's a lot more complicated than that space is very dangerous especially in deep space
as someone who gets sick from just driving in a car or spinning around in my chair, I can't imagine how you'd survive a space launch and 0 gravity
water bear is OP 😂
use magnets a smart-phone type device that limits or increases the power of an electro-magnet make you work but don't keep you stuck to the metal frame
Going to Mars is a mistake, at least on this technological level. We should instead focus first on a lunar base to get a place where we can extract materials, build bulky stuff easily and still get cheaper launches. And thes mankind should focus on going to VENUS, rather than Mars. Venus is much much easier to get to and to colonize – besides, floating cities are super cool
15:31 just wanted to clarify that sex and gender are not the same, and in this case it is actually the sex of the astronaut that is relevant, as gender is only how an individual identifies within our societally predetermined ideals, and sex is a biological description regarding the reproductive organs of an organism.
love the video btw (space is cool and terrifying) 😂❤
The worst part about space travel has to be the tiny ships that people fly in. The ships are huge in the movies but comically tiny in real life.
I've read that when a cosmic ray hits your brain in space it can register as a flash of light, even when you're asleep.
wait so space madness is real
Genetically engineered astronauts? So they’re like Halo Spartans except instead of super strength they have the power to go outside and not die
When you only have to spend a few days in hyper space, with internal gravity, deep space travel is not an issue. The issue is ,spending time on another planet. Light propulsion already is here, that's why they stopped studying it, because we are doing it just a guess.
0:07 …that we know of
One interesting thing you didn’t mention is that even though women are more vulnerable to radiation, they can handle sensory deprivation far better than men
Soft people not up to it
Flashes of light in vision are attributed to cosmic ray impacts with the optic system… not a hallucination…
You people sound so weak , oh no your all alone for a whole year ! Thats such a foreign thought for white people lol
Sci-Fi gets around this by things like artificial gravity, inertial dampers, faster than light travel, etc.
I wonder if people will look back on these designs for space stations with artificial gravity the same way we do on retrofuturistic images
With the way AI is progressing, I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 or 20 years or so, we send AI astronauts to Mars and beyond to conduct experiments. Way more intelligent than the probes we've previously sent. We might come to the conclusion that it's just too dangerous to send humans out into space for a long period of time. It will be insanely expensive to create artificial gravity out in space, or on Mars, and we still haven't figured out how to combat solar radiation effectively.
The human mind and body have evolved almost consistently in the same environment, with slight variations, for the entirety of our existence. Space is a radically different environment. Small wonder it's difficult to adapt.
Besides the obvious impacts on the biology of the human body (radiation’s, muscle arthophy and decalcification of the bones) It is not difficult to forecast the strain on the psyche. If austronauts experience this in a space station orbiting earth can we just imagine the impacts in the dark deep space? For 6 months? (The time to get to Mars). It will take indeed a very special breed of humans to do that and a much more advance technology than we have today.
It makes me laugh when we are being told that by 2030 we’ll lsndvnen on Mars (let alone women since the effect of 0 gravity will impact the decalcification process even more). There is no way we can get sun human to Mars and back alive (since it would require to get to Mars in 6 months , stay for 12 months and then a further 6 months to get back to earth).
genetically engineered astronauts. like space marines
