Only thing that worries me is if I open the door on a regular day and he runs out. I think I will take him through the garage with 3 doors and click and treat behind each one so that he doesn’t associate front door with escaping
love this
That’s so smart letting them wear the harness in the house! I actually didn’t think of that.
Side note: I have a cat who loves looking out the window but I have terrible view and she’s confined to just my room during the day so I’m wanting to take her on walks when I get home so she can at least see nature but I have no idea if she’d even be interested in it😅
I am glad I went to your Tutorial, I am pretty confident I would of done everything wrong, So the journey begins and my cat TAVI an Abyssinian, at some point will go outside to our picnic table…….. OH yes, if he wants to.
Hey, my cat is great when she’s walking on the harness and trained and everything. She pretty much walks me, but I don’t walk her but now all of a sudden she’s a year and a half and now when I pick her up to take her back inside because I have to get back to work, she growls and hisses like she’s gonna bite me so any tips on that, she’s the terrible 20-year-old something
I don’t see a link to the harness in the description?
Where is the link for the harness please?
Any tips for stroller training?
LOSE THE BACKGROUND MUSIC is unbearable!!!!!!!!!!
It is easy to walk a trusting cat to walk on a leash as long he thinks that you are his protector. When a strange dog tries to scare my cat I take him in my arms and he starts pouring and flirting with me.
When I opened the door, My cat bolted out slammed up against the harness and leash and screamed and struggled almost got out of the harness and then we had to come in
Thanks for this great video. I am walking my cat Simba 2 to 3 times a week. My question is, is it better to have the cat walk beside or in front?
I didn't try walking my cat until he was 15 and now he lices it but as he wants to explore areas in the condo community that he can't, he starts hissing and I have to force him back which then starts the wailing. Had a bad experience with my first cat. Guess I need more tips.
When is save to take them out
Before vacation or after vacation
My cat loves the outdoors but sadly we have coyotes and eagles so if I properly leash train her she can be outside and explore while I don’t have to worry about her dying
This video made me realize how small we are in the universe, how short life is, and how dumb everything is in a good way. Stop taking everything seriously at all cuz we are gonna die in like .000000001 seconds in-universe time.
Mine, she's immediately walking or running away once she sees me grab the leash or a cat carrier even if I've put them always in her common areas 😢
Thank you! Do you also give a treat when you take off the harness ?
I am attempting to adopt a cat that needs to be an indoor cat due to his health. I was thinking taking him for walks on a harness might be something i could try. I mentioned it in an indoor cat group and someone was very against the idea and said it would be for me not for the cat. I liked what you said in the video that its for the cat. I absolutely agree. It should absolutely be for your cat and not for you. And i think it is possible to do it successfully but it very much depends on the individual cat. I have a particular bribery/reward treat in mind. I don't have a clicker. Maybe i will click my tongue.
My cat DID IT THANKSSSSSSS HIS NAME IS COCO BTW
Noah is a little different Noah growls like a lion 😅
where is the link in the description for the harness ?
When i take my cat out he thinks he's a bunny and starts chomping down on grass
my cat keeps crawling with her vest on, im trying to see if she can slip out before going outside. also giving her time to get used to the harness.
We're just learning to walk our cat. But I have a problem with the cat litter. I can't stand the smell. I complete wash the box 4 times a day. Any advice on cat litter? Thank you P. Davenport
I have a shelter kitty. She has run out the front door into the hall of my apartment building. I'm definitely getting her a harness!!
I have a cat 1 year old who wants go outside and would sit next to the front door and 2 times she has tried getting out and in a way she is kind of doing door dashing which is not good because your cat can get lost or worse get eaten by wild animals and in my area there is bob cats, Coyotes and so we choose to make the cat wear harness so she can be safe when going outside at least that is the plane and if want know the cat name is Starlight and history. We have a roommate who works at car place to fix them and a customer came in and when the roommate went to look inside the customer car hood the roommate found a kitten which is Starlight and brought the kitten home to take care of her and since than we had her and man she is a trouble maker she will tear up toilet paper and paper towels and it's first time having a cat that does it but she is cute. 🙂 XD
