When in Fact! the game is trash. The Polygon-MC is ugly as sin, they did a massive disservice to the actress, just like they did with MassDefect Andromedas Female MC.
The dialog is not only $hit, yes that's the correct word for it. Its insufferable to listen to! The game world is dead, and
peopleidiots apologize for it with "its because of stroy reasons"… which is complete coping bull$hit. They could have repopulate the world as the player liberates it. But thats not the case! So its either lazy, or incompetence. I persoanlly say its both knowing how this company operates for years now!The combat is azz! The game balance non-existent. The graphics are broken, especially the lighting in the game world. And the performance is an insult!
24GB of RAM for the PC version, while not even the console version can deliver! Play on Perfomance mode and you play the game 80% of the time at 720p ultra low Xbox 360 resoultion. While still not hitting 60FPS most of the time. Fluctuating framerates can cause headaches. Even if not, its still uncomfortable to play that way.
The pathetic short draw distance of Objects and especially Shadows is another insult to the customer!

Played this game And I felt sorry for for all the Tanta and even the people . I cared very very little for the protagonist . It's like I could get engaged with the story and history of astera however I just didnt give two cares about Frey what so ever because her attitude was just pure disgusting and very self centered for the most part . Hell I fell in love with the cats and the cats gave me more smile than anything in this game . Sad part is I actually Liked the voice of the cuff than listing to frey be its all about me kinda attitude .
Dead Space remake is about to bury this game forever

I was looking forward to this game and was REALLY hoping that we would get a great open world experience with interesting quests and great NPCs.

The character is insufferable. If you want men to enjoy playing a female character, you really need to make them interesting. I love Witcher3 but HATE being Ciri because I don't have fantasies of being a girl. This character has a repulsive personality
She tries to sound edgy and cool… Cringe as hell. I really doubt there is more than a very small minority that actually enjoy that kind of humor and find it funny. The same kind of shitty "humor" they pulled in the new star wars movie and other disney shows when they repeat something three times. "They fly now?, They fly now!?, They fly now…" It's exactly that kind of cringe "humor" they used in this game.

I'm getting tired of games like this one having as The Act Man would say: a strong female protagonist.
Square enix ruined final fantasy for me. The switch to action combat basically was the nail in the coffin. Companies like altus and falcom have taken the mantle of best Japanese company for gaming
All the creative industries are suffering from a fundamentally problem,the abandonment of meritocracy in the hiring process and substituting fashionable politics for basic narrative and dialogue expostulation.
Well, I just saw the game on steam.
It is rather mixed with some positives and negatives look like trolling (IMO).
But there was one comment I laughed.
Because person wrote that s/he got it for free and still feel like been robbed.
There are people going to like it and dislike it.
Not going to change anyone's minds at all.
Personally not a game I am interested in through, and there is that category too.
Square enix has lost their fanbase long time ago, here is the reason why
before the woke:
1. they turn final fantasy from turn based game into cinematic third person rpg.
2. having a beautiful chicks and women in their game doesnt worked because their gameplay, questing and boring.
3. making gameplay so easy with bullet sponges health- spamming mouse 1 game
4. ignoring fanbase idea or criticsm, yes, theyre japanese, they think theyre better
5. making their games open world and bloated with meaningless side quest and filler
after the woke:
1. make their character look ugly to appease critics
2. gameplay, questing and level design still same, meaningless, bloated and boring
Graphics legitimately look fine, people hitting on dialogue for what I see as stupid reasons(will explain below), and I have no lag or stuttering at all. But regarding the dialogue, everyone hates it because it's what they're not USED to. They're all being picky crying children. When you get a fantasy game you're used to the character being FROM that world, meaning they don't react too much to the existence of some concepts. But she is not from that world. She is reacting how anyone like her would react. She's a girl who grew up without a family, uncared for, lonely and even got involved in gangs. Her understanding of fantasy is a single books worth of "Alice in wonderland". In other words how do you expect someone like that who never played a game, never read fantasy novels and etc WOULD react to magic? Like you yourself would? Everyone is hating on her because she isn't reacting how they themselves would react. When in truth this is just realistic. Graphics are fine, I myself am getting zero lag and stuttering. And the dialogue just makes sense. Stop being little picky children, and don't get on the hate train just because the tickets seem cheap.
I can't believe Square Enix has fallen this low.

The dialogue seems to be inspired by what the SE thought a person around 18 y/o actually talks like. However, this is more in like a bratty 10 year old. Then they made it worse by making an inanimate object sound just as bad. It's like two annoying children bickering in the backseat of a road trip. It just shows how out of touch SE really is.
One of the power-up slots is getting your nails did. How on Earth anyone ever thought this was ever going to be anything other than a steaming pile of dog crap is beyond me.

Edit: when this game was first announced I was excited. The spells looked so sick and the heavy spell based combat made me excited. Then the trailer with the dialogue came out…and I cringed so hard I said no to buying the game.
Why does the main character look like she was created in The Sims BAS? And I'm talking Sims 2. They literally did the toddler argument of that's what you sound like? They actually did that and thought that was something that people who aren't 5 years old say?
Women like the main character of Forspoken are cringe at best and unbearable at their worst.

The banter between Weiss and the protagonist was so much fun in Nier. And profanity was the trademark ok Kaine and it was hilarious.

This is a 'We are working on other tittles we actually care about, but we have a couple of resources we can spare to make a quick cash grab with little to no effort' type of game.
Frey is supposed to be a young woman in her twenties who has lived a hard life, going from loveless foster care into committing criminal acts just to survive, but her behavior and dialogue would be more in-line with an adolescent.
Hell, all the immature dialogue would've worked better if her real world self was like most isekai protagonists: an otherwise normal person with a crappy job and no real prospects.
That's instantly more relatable to me than the kind of person that would save a stray cat over a big bag of money, which might as well represent her only chance to not wind up murdered.
