A bit late on commenting here. I decided to purchase a few of Lisa's lipsticks and your reviews of them were fabulous in helping me choose the right shades for myself. It has been so much fun getting ideas and your breakdown of various categories was perfect. Your description of Lisa's color combinations makes so much sense. She does seem to put a magic into the process. I now own many of her reds and pinks and chose Spirited Away for a nude, which I think will work. Using cosmetics is fun and your enthusiasm is so much like my own!
I've been vacillating over Kitten Mischief, worried it would be too light (though I'm very fair in complexion, I have dark eyes/eyebrows that need something to balance them on the bottom of my face). I think I'll pull the plug after this video since our colouring is very similar and it looks great on you and it would look perfect with bolder color eye makeup (like with Lisa's new Sorcery palette). Spirited Away would e an insta-buy for me except it looks remarkably similar to MAC's Business Casual which I recently got and which is very similar in formula to the Lucent lipsticks. It looks just a bit red, just a bit brown and just a bit berry/rose and bronze – really hard to describe but it does look like a dupe for Spirited Away. I feel like I can put mascara and that lipstick on and that would be good enough for the day, and it balances my eyes perfectly. Once I've put a good dent to it to justify a purchase, I'll grab Lisa's version 🙂

I’ve been thinking about Spirited Away for a while and think I may just go ahead and get it. But I really love Painterly and how it gives my lips the perfect flush; it really does do what Lisa intended it to do, by emulating that flushed lip look in older paintings. Lisa’s lipsticks just reign supreme for me.
I love those twinklers you have in your ears in this video, Rebecca! The stones almost look like tiny laboradorite rondels, are they crystals? I love your Lisa lipstick swatch videos. I only have two, Painterly and Rose Official, and am dying to get more but I just can't swing it atm. Doesn't stop me from putting them in my cart, though. Right now I have Wonderwheel, Palazzo, Meet Me in Berlin and Night Thoughts in there. I haven't tried any of the Velvets yet but if I were to get one it would probably be Velvet Muse.
I bought the Lucent in palazzo and it doesn't last on me at all. Settles and cracks on my lips. Why is everybody saying they're moisturizing. They're really not. I also have a velvet matte and that's even worse. Any advise?. I feel like a wasted a lot of money here

Thanks so much for this review! I’m a huge Lisa Eldridge fan but I’ve had hits and misses with my colour choices in the past so I find comparison swatches so helpful. The colours all look lovely on you! I’ve a fairer skin tone and Muse looks too dark and heavy on me, although the gloss is great and one of my faves! kitten mischief is my favourite lipstick so far but I’m keen to try le Mepris when it’s restocked 😊
I’m mildly fascinated by the shape lipstick bullets take on once they start to wear down. It’s unique to each person and I noticed all of your lipsticks have the same shape

I wore Painterly and Velvet Muse all fall/winter last year. I think I need Spirited Away and Velvet Fawn now. This is a red, but to me it's so neutral: Palazzo. I just got on Saturday because I was scared to buy it with my original summer order, but when I tried on Palazzo I was blown away. It's the most perfect red ever, and it is a neutral everyday for me when applied lightly
What fun! Love these “neutrals”—alas, Le Mepris is out of stock (and has been since almost the first week of launch!!)! I have both Painterly and Meet Me in Berlin and do love them—they do subtle, nice things for my naturally mauve-y lips. You’ve made me interested in trying Kitten Mischief, although I have a deep-seated fear that it will turn out to be one of those chalky pastels from the 1960s! And since I was there and wore them, to my detriment and to my onlookers’ horror, I know whereof I speak.

My kitten mischief is missing somehow— so frustrating. And I recently moved and have many things in storage, just praying it hangs in there until I find it!
I finally did a LE shop this past week after having done a no-buy month in July. I chose Spirited Away as one of three (I didn't try for the new colours this time), and boy, do I LOVE this colour as a nude. It's a bit pinker than I thought it would be but there's enough brown that balances the pink. This is definitely going to be an everyday favourite.
I also picked up Rainbow Spill, a colour that I had been wanting since it's first launch 2 years (??) ago. Along with Atomic Cherry, I have been so happy to have these in my collection too.
