I haven't finished either God of war or ragnarok, to many games on the go at the moment but the backlog is definitely going down fast. Obviously I didn't know loki revelation…..but I sat and thought oh "okay " lol that's that then hahahah . I've got two games to finish off now ,being astrobot and plague tale innocence and god of war is having it !
I couldn't bring myself to finish it, I got to the part where you talk to the dwarf with the octopus and called it quits. The game has some really strong pacing issues, and writing problems. The combat also felt a bit… weightless? meaningless? Like the encounters felt random, rather than well thought, like they were in the original 2018 game?
Like in the first game from 2018, the story and pacing had a point, the encounters made sense, there was a story driven the game. Here though? Just in the beginning we go from fighting Freya, to a bear, to freaking Thor -admittedly I enjoyed fighting this last one-, but the preceding scene from the Thor fight was so poorly directed; the actors do their job, but the whole scene felt unnatural? Like Thor serves himself a drink, then serves another one, kinda offers it to Atreus, he comes into the house but only after destroying the roof? Like what is going on…
What great timing! I just finished God of War (2018) yesterday! I’m keen for this
Didnt like this game. Bad difficulty settings, generic half baked open world and too much copy paste from the last game for me. That atreus chapter was so bad too. The rouguelike dlc was awesome though
The game has been great for me so far other than the most bizarre controller bug I have ever experienced. Using a wireless controller was tanking my FPS by 50 to 60% as soon as I plugged it in the problem was gone.
One of the few games I 100%, probably took around 60h on hardest difficulty, wonder how long Mort will take
does anybody know how to fix the lock on jump around?
Comment for Al Gore Rhythm.
As a gaming father myself I'm very curious about new God of War. I haven't tried it yet but I am looking forward to your take.
Why not playing on controller?
Really enjoyed the first game, but I struggle to stick with this one. Atreus continuously butting in to tell you where to go next and how to solve the simplest of puzzles is hard to bear and turns me off it every time I pick it up.
This may be a big one. Gosh dang.
It was meant to be a TRILOGY it's why it's so long. But games take so long to make and the actor playing Atreus was growing up so fast that it wouldn't / didn't make sense. So they smashed it into one long game.
Great gameplay , but too much of a sob story for me. Story is disjointed and weird and the ending was nowhere near as epic as i expected , but that's my problem lol.
The story feels like a marvel movie drama rather than a Greek tragedy. I think Kratos should've sacrificed himself in the end to save others , instead he turned into papa Kratos , and it felt like Hallmark channel GOW.
Also too damn many side characters who don't bring anything of value into the story.
On the gameplay end of things I found Ragnarok to improve on the already solid foundation laid by the previous game. However, without spoiling things, I found the story to be a large disappointment. It is basically official news that the new GoW games were supposed to be a trilogy, and the story was already written. Cory Balrog unfortunately left the project due to burnout and the new director who took over decided to shorten the project and combine the next two games into one, rewriting most of the story to fit the new frame. While the writing still has some peaks, especially in the DLC, it's overall not as good as what it was, to me at least, and not in line with what it feels like the story should have been. Not necessarily bad, but it was disappointing to me, and to other people I've talked to.
This was a disappointment from a story perspective compared to gow 2018. It sets up this amazing intricate story thar doesnt really ever soar. That said, still fun 🤷
the game has already cemented itself as a masterpiece …its gonna be a blast
I love this game but I would probably wait for a sale cause I got so much on my plate and I’ve already platinum this game.
I have a 2060 6g and the performance of Ragnark is soooo good. I can run 100+fps with dlss and fsr frame gen and 80+fps with only dlss. It is much better than any other AAA games that I remember.
Thanks for the video. Never got into the series. The combat felt like button mashing, the RPG mechanics were mostly cosmetic, and the plots were always too over the top to become invested in. The series certainly found its audience, so I guess I'm just no it. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
My favorite thing when I first started playing Ragnarok was that if you pay attention a lot of the moves from the first game that were Cooldown-Abilities are actually just straight up built in to your base moveset now.
After playing wukong for 20 hours i can say the god of war series combat feels a lot better. Its smoother you can cancel your light and heavy attacks if you need to dodge or parry. That’s god tier combat design. ❤ gow ftw!
I know it’s a small thing, but requiring PSN for a single player game just rubs me the wrong way
Gronk!
I took 124 hours to 100% the game. I wanted to see everything. Best game I’ve ever played in my entire life
Love this game. It’s an emotional roller coaster. Especially as a dad
How did you change to fix the jumping issue between lock on mode? I tried multiple changes and settings but it stayed bad
Hi guys im playing on my rx 5700xt on medium settings but its stuttery. Are you experiencing the same?
Black Myth Wukong has been appreciated for me God of War
Do you ever sleep mate 😂
played it twice on PS5, playing it now on PC… this game is, for me, god tier.
