There will be a OnePlus Watch 3 Pro in 2025 alongside the Watch 3

The OnePlus Watch 2 is one of the standout Wear OS smartwatches of this year, and the OnePlus Watch 2R basically brings the same specs to a lower price point, so understandably we’re very curious to see how the company can follow-up these two devices next year.

According to a new report, there will be a OnePlus Watch 3 Pro. The name was spotted inside Oppo’s OHealth app, which you use to manage Oppo and OnePlus smartwatches. And speaking of Oppo, it’s also going to launch its own-branded versions of the OnePlus Watch 3 and OnePlus Watch 3 Pro – the Oppo Watch X2 and Oppo Watch X2 Pro.

While some details about the non-Pro OnePlus Watch 3 have already been leaked, including the addition of a rotating bezel a la Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Classic line, at this point we have no clue what upgrades the OnePlus Watch 3 Pro will bring over its vanilla sibling.

One quick assumption is that the OnePlus Watch 3 will be the successor to the OnePlus Watch 2R and the OnePlus Watch 3 Pro will be the successor to the OnePlus Watch 2, with their different use of materials for the case, but that’s just us wildly speculating – the R model could still stick around in which case OnePlus might have three smartwatches launching next year.

Regardless, it’s a good sign that OnePlus is developing new smartwatches. This probably means sales of the OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Watch 2R have been good, or at least not bad enough to warrant cancelling the line. And that’s a net positive for consumers who are going to be in the market for a Wear OS smartwatch in 2025.
