The Moto G05 went official last month and now it’s almost ready to make the journey to India. The brand announced that the G05 will be launching in India on January 7 at 12 PM local time.
The Moto G05 has a “premium vegan leather finish” on the back according to Motorola’s special teaser microsite for it, as well as the brightest display in its class with 1,000-nit peak brightness. The screen is 6.67″, has a 90 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The phone also supports Dolby Atmos and is launching with Android 15 on board from day one. It’s promised to get two years of security updates but there’s no word on major Android updates, so it’s probably safe to assume it won’t be receiving any of those.
Motorola is further advertising the 50 MP main rear camera and the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme SoC, which is 4G-only. This is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device is IP52 certified for water repellence, weighs 178.8g and is 8.1mm thin. It has a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.
