Difficulty does NOT affect accuracy, just damage resistance, this is 100% proven now. I'm not sorry about siding with Duty. After the Bloodsuckers and Pseudogiants I have no love for the Zone, though I would've taken ecologists if they were a real option.
who's waiting for stalker 2 review
i know that there is a good game here and that i would enjoy it (i really like difficult games where you are always trying to get your foot on the ladder) however i just cant get past the early game. maybe stalker 2 doesn't have this problem
Так приятно что западным игрокам нравятся наши игры…
The start is fucknn awful I hope it gets better
Gamma review when?
as harsh and weird as it is to this day this game keeps making me come back. the minute i played it for the first time this year 2024 i was hooked. then stalker 2 landed and hooked me more.
ChOrnobyl, not ChErnobyl.
I got all the way to the lab door for the good ending and couldn't survive all the Monolith to get through it. I had run out of ammo just before this. And the corridors fight before were brutal. I want to finish the game from there but my word was that such a tough fight to get there I can't imagine loading an earlier save and trying it again.
1:43 – the chinese room is making vtm Bloodlines 2… and prabably will suck, damn, history repeting itself
PSA: Damage has 0 effect on how many damage you deal or how accurate you are. This has been proven time and time again, the stalker subreddit has this pinned.
And here I am, 7 years later, back to watch it again. Thank you Mr. MandaloreGaming for making quality content on this god forsaken platform.
Came back to this video after playing STALKER 2 and hearing Mandalore say that the original is a cult classic even if it’s a decade old and remembering how old this video is PHYSICALLY HURT ME
This game, even today, makes me wonder if devs are just racing too hard to implement new tech to do good stuff. Some scenes in this game easily hold their own against some scenes in 2024 AAA games. And don't get me wrong, I'm a dev and ray teacing is awesome but damn I'm always so disappointed when I see character models with worse quality models, textures, animations, even facial animation. Hell, the original Duke Nukem had working mirrors where most games just refuse and where they do use reflections it's always on shitty wet pavement using horrible SSR. Like, Ghostwire: Tokyo, I can't handle the modes using SSR, fortunately the HFR performance (vsync) option doesn't use them, instead trading some resolution. Not sure what reflection algo they're using when not SSR, I'm sure it's not RT maybe some PT but it looks decent. But that's being picky about complex reflections – there's no excuse mirrors shouldn't work at all, ever (I get some games, esp fps/vr where it wouldn't be desired but I'm not talking about the decision being made due to aet direction)..
how did you get subtitles for random chatter?
stalker 2 review waiting room
Stalker 2 drops today!
STALKER 2 will take some time to download, so… I´m going to rewatch this gem for 10th time.
Recommend 1 day before Stalker 2 release 😅
DuDe has to drag out every last word he says…….the less you haaaaaavvvvvvveeeee…….the gun you foooouuuunnnnndddd
Being recommend this just one day before the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R is awesome!
Mods help immensely. The more realistic shooting ones especially. More difficult yes but also far less spongy enemies and feels much better to play. Then the fairly endless other mods, map combinations (of all the various games maps into one hugely extended world), expansion of survival and weapon/gear systems, quest systems, factions systems and fixes are great. Some of them get very deep into actually fixing parts of weapons and gear and basically living an extended life in The Zone.
Years ago playing SoC on an old, now defunk hardocre mod called Redux all the way through to getting the C-Conciousness ending is one of my most memorable experiences in gaming ever. Stocking up for the final push and then venturing into the final maps and sequences I ended up at the NPP. Wounded and starving and out of food, scavenging ammo and limping along fighting Duty across the rooftops and down into the bowels of the station to eventually barely drag myself to the final, true ending. It was incredible and unforgettable. Tense, desperate, atmospheric, thrilling, draining. And the final cutscene of that ending is perhaps my favorite final cutscene in all my gaming experiences. It's short, poetic, beautiful and bittersweet. Almost like a haiku it's as much feeling and abstract thought as specifics. It's left open to enough interpretation that it could mean a couple different things but it doesn't feel like a copout. It feels earned.
If you want actual Russian fallout it's a game called ATOM

Any one else getting metro vibes?
To this day, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s galaxy-brain decision to have you do less damage on lower difficulty is one of the most idiosyncratic design decisions I've ever encountered.
Strelok can be translated like a shooter or a gunslinger, but originally this word means rifleman and came to people’s vocabulary from the army a long ago
Best game ever and today you can play STALKER SoC in CO-OP
11:44 „Very similar outcome“ is an understatement when it’s always the money ending in everyone’s first playthrough.
STALKER isn't a RPG, it's an immersive sim!
I remember arriving in Pripyat and having a hard time progressing. I had to came back and buy a sniper rifle, stock some ammo and medkits. And I think it goes well with the survival elements of the outer part of the zone, where there are traders because people settled. You learn to survive in the begining, then you get comfortable, and finally you have to leave that comfort 'zone' to head for the center. I actually really liked the last run towards the Chernobyl NPP, I tried to run from cover to cover, and letting the military and monolith fight each other. I guess you're right for the actual NPP, I thought there was too many enemies inside, I got tired and wanted to finish this, so I rushed it and had the wrong ending…
This is a long shot, but what game was Mandalore getting excited about at the end?
Now we need our lord Mandalore or Sseth to make Review of Stalker Anomaly
Re-watching this in 2024 can't wait for STALKER 2!
if you don't like this game then u enjoy getting your backdoor breached
Subbed
bro i got an add before i could skip foward to not get spoilers, as soon as the ad ends he just blurts it out.. smh
I'm just now giving this game a fair shot in 2024 and I'm really enjoying it. It was hard for me to get into because of the dated mechanics and gameplay interface, but now I'm absolutely hooked. This is a game that you have to give time to warm up to.
The stalker collection is on sale for $27.99 USD on xbox right now. Gonna hold me over until 2 comes out in a couple months
"But this didn't stop people from calling Ukrainian shooter Russian Fallout"
1. The distinction between Ukrainian and Russian was forced upon the West and later, unfortunately, Ukraine. No one in post Soviet countries (except modern Ukraine) would ever see much sense in making that distinction, but it makes sense that Mandy does.
2. AFAIK originally the game did not have Ukrainian translation and voiceover.
3. As for the Fallout… well, Fallout was highly acclaimed in post Soviet countries and both games have…. ahem.. "Fallout" of some catastrophe involving radiation. For the general audiences that is more than enough to make a jump. So calling it "Russian Fallout" first and foremost meant to show respect to the original Fallout games.
duty is literally a facist faction x.x
Enemies being bulletsponges in lower difficulty is not true. Lower diffculty = player take less damage, player deal more damage
