Question when is it to soon to start training your dog out of it I have a puppy rottie I’d say about 3 months he still look like a lil puppy
my 10 month corso wont stop biting when playing could it also be something that she will outgrow?
Does this work on a 9 week pup
Definitely hasn’t worked in seconds with our Bernese. Over and over and she STILL mouthing! My hands are shredded
YOU SIR, ARE A GENTLEMAN AND SCHOLAR.
I’ll be trying this on my puppy.
Video too long , get to the point
i work at an incredibly overburdened animal shelter. I've been doing research to try and figure out what I can do to help dogs that all show severe pulling/mouthing/jumping. It's really really hard to see results when I'm not working one on one, but have maybe 10 minutes with a dozen different dogs often with days in between getting to follow up with the same dog. Again and again I come back to your content as you do a lot to explain your philosophy and why and how it works. I've started putting your methods into play whenever I see a teachable moment, and while I'm not fixing behaviors in these dogs on a broader scale because of limited time and consistency, I am noticably more in control on any given walk and that means a lot.
I just tried this in my husky pup and it worked perfectly!
I've been trying this with my 4,5 m/o puppy (mutt), but it doesn't seem to be working when he's really riled up and excited (e.g. when my sons come home from school). I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I make the sound and actively correct him, but no luck…
“My lovely boots “😂❤
Thank you so much for your time in making this video.
Thanks man i did this with a german shepherd and she got it
i have a 3 month old red heeler. i’ve been doing the passive correction or time outs with him and while it’s somewhat improved (he doesn’t get to gnaw on me but will chomp at me occasionally to test me). i can’t wait to try this method tomorrow
That's the easiest dog to train the German shepherd love it❤
The explanation is so long winded and vague, and the illustration goes by so fast that I can't even tell what the active correction is that I'm supposed to be doing.
My little 14 lb. 4.5 month puppy was doing just this. The lunging and attacking. I just tried your correction and it worked INSTANTLY. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE…redirecting, exercising, ensuring proper naps are had, cognitive boards, frozen treats, all different types of toy materials for different chewing needs. Even the leash correction wasn’t working. I cannot thank you enough. Instant subscriber. ❤🐾
My dog is exactly the same as this dog except the dog takes everything as a game. The touch makes it worse.
why is the video 7 Minutes if it takes seconds to stop it? 🤔
My puppy is three months old. I am her daughter by the way and my brother always wanted a puppy and a dog I always liked and subscribed to you. You don’t need to worry but I will tell that to my brother, or my mom will show him after his soccer practice and game
Thank you <3!
The dog went crazy AF with me holding his collar
Our puppy just gets angry at us and go again and again
I have an active puppy that does not work. She thinks I am playing with her. You do not have an active puppy.
✅
Great lesson! Mine was doing this 6-8 months (I got her at 6 months), and now I am getting more belly rubs and licks. BTW that dog was beautiful, would love to see what s/he looks like now!
My puppy thinks this touch is play and she ramps it up.
I will try this method on my basset hound puppy of 10 weeks
I have a 1.85 # Beautiful 😍 Chihuahua and she's a holy terror. Help me 😭
Why sun glasses
I have a 6 month old labradaine who love bites and I have been looking for a way to get him to stop biting without spanking him
I have a two month old German shepherd puppy and I’m not making any progress. Any of these corrections only bring on worse biting and lunging back at me sometimes quicker than I can physically get out of the way. I’ve been dealing with this for 3 weeks since I got him. I’m 60 and wanted a puppy for hopefully a forever dog and to be able to bond seriously with my new companion. Actually this experience feels more than likely like it’ll kill me. He’s a really sweet dog most of the time. He comes and runs behind my legs if something scares him or when he wants a nap. I won’t give up on him but I certainly don’t want to do something to make him worse. Is 2 months too young to teach him not to bite? 🤷♂️
