Here in the Philippines we have an ancient tradition that still goes on in many parts of the country, we give our dogs a proper burial. My family has been doing this for many of our past dogs, and we were quite surprised to find out that it's a tradition of our people. There also have been archeological findings of canine burials performed by our ancestors, often those who have been their companions.

I like dogs but I have always disagreed with the term "dogs are mans best friend." I think horses have done more for man than any other animal. Horses have carried humans around the world, hauled things, took humans into battle. History was literally made on the backs of horses.

Idk if it’s because I’m half Asian but the tiger is just terrifying and gives a “run” or “to late to run” feel. Lions sound cool/royal. Leopards jags sound like they chose fight in fight or flight.

I like to believe that a group of humans came across a litter of puppies that were weened and just into solid food but had just lost their parents and we took them in showing empathy to another species and they repaid us 10 fold

I think that the dog or it's ancestors became our friend when we learned to use fire to cook meat. The scent of cooked meat attracted hungry wolves which timidly came around human ancestor.
