Everyone wants to go to space again.
Number one is Orbiter 2016!!! Created by a scientist, Dr. Martin Schweiger, Orbiter is a very realistic space flight simulator but which also allows all fantasies.
It is a free educational sim, real physics to learn Keplerian navigation, and mesmerizing visuals.
Physics is so real that once you master it, you can talk to real astronauts about space navigation comfortably.
Its playground is our solar system with many of its major bodies – the sun, planets and moons. You take control of a spacecraft – either historic, hypothetical, or purely science fiction. Orbiter is unlike most commercial computer games with a space theme – there are no predefined missions to complete (except the ones you set yourself), no aliens to destroy and no goods to trade. Instead, you will get a pretty good idea about what is involved in real space flight – how to plan an ascent into orbit, how to rendezvous with a space station, or how to fly to another planet.
YEAAAH FREELANCER!!!!
The only good thing Chris Roberts made. F*ck Scam Citizen.
Sounds like star citizen 1.0 is eve online 2.0?
Glad i didnt EA this. I'd probably be nit cool with this direction, its played out already.
I was hoping for different.
Nice 🙂
Your videos are the best. Voice is so soothing to follow along with the nice ebb and flow of your story telling. Much kudos
Around 8:35 … Vsauce music kicked in 🤣🤣
I had Elite dangerous on Xbox and pc the latest version and it was fun, but now I enjoy Starfield alot more, and I cant return back to elite dangerous, its just too boring and too dead. All planets and moons are empty compared ti elite dangerous, E D. Just has alot more star and you can fly to planets and fly your ship on planets.
I think you are far too restrictive on your description of no man's sky.
I think this video could have been more extensive similar to the RPG, JRPG and dating sim one.
Elite dangerous. C or Constant. And lore is offered by realistic news articles and political branches.
God I miss freelancer
So the Fuel Rats help people who become stranded, for no fee, just from the kindness of their hearts? What an awesome bunch.
I agree with most of this. But when you said starfield had better faction quests than most other bethesda games i laughed. Cause i coudlnt disagree more. The faction quests in starfield where supposed to be the most redeeming part of the game but they werent at all. I guess you could say its better than like the college of winterhold in skyrim but thats about it lol
No worries bro I get filtered by elite dangerous too still I know it’s a good game
no game can beat no mans sky
No Mans Sky aint never gonna get my money. Free is the only way i will download it after all their intentional false advertising. All they had to do was be transparent from the beginning and they just kept lying lol
I think the updates have really helped NMS. I love my first base planet. Sometimes I'll just sit and admire how beautiful it is.
i still find current day nms extremely boring
You definitely need a hotas for elite.
What everyone is looking for in a space game really comes down to personal preference and what compromises each game makes that you can live with. I personally like Starfield best out of all 3 of these games, though it's definitely not perfect–I've been a Bethesda fan since Oblivion, and Starfield scratches the itch I'm looking for in a space game. NMS is great, but Starfield is the one space game I have the most fun with.
"I have no idea why I had that fine and everybody were shooting at me, I did nothing wrong, just killed that one guy as told!" 😅
Elite dangerous was shallow when i bought it was cheap but shallow and lacking customization of cockpit, and no outside walk, in the end devs droped the game on old gen and i never got to see anything interesting.
Uh…what!? When the fuck could you walk around in Elite Dangerous!?
Great video/documentary. Although you should definitely have taken a closer look at The Outer Worlds (not Wilds, but Worlds) while analyzing Starfield, as it is even more relevant than Skyrim on this very topic.
Star field is hardly a space exploration game.
How do have make spherical planets that the players are attrackted to by gravity? I’ve been wondering for so long and want to make a game with that feature
This is my coMfort video

>obscured target again
oh no
when it comes to humans, exploring space is a reference to exploring the space between their ears
You're obviously a huge Star Citizen and Chris Roberts fan and, although Elite does have a steep learning curve, it has tutorials for all basic and advanced controls in game. I think you just don't have the skills to enjoy and excel in it which you admitted to. I still think you should try it again, especially now.
You should definitely try Star Citizen 😅
He forgot spore (2008)
guys, how many times will you be slurping down on no man's sky. 8 years later and it's still not great.
When Kennedy announced the Apollo program, he offered to the soviets for it to be a joint venture. Imagine, some of the big titles with different foci would start to coordinate and integrate with each other.
I bought no mans sky at launch and didn’t play it much. Every so often i would pop in and try again, and fall off pretty quick. But with the recent Worlds update i am loving it. Have put in about 60 hours since starting up again.
The fact that the game basically has no loading is so immersive!
YOU CAN GO TO SOL. IT SAYS RIGHT THERE YOU NEED A PERMIT.
give starfield 3 planets instead of 1000, or one very varied planet. how stupid it is of him to defend that slop. i skipped ahead into this video and watched it for a minute and already hes making ice cold takes. what a dumb video
I don’t really care if NMS is procedurally generated or player oriented I just enjoy the fantasy of space.
Sorry, typo
Outer Wilds mentioned, alright good video
I’m gonna say this… a space exploration game has to be up there next to good MMO’s as one of the hardest games to make.
A game that not only is immersive in its scale but also interesting to explore what is the size of a galaxy. Starfield really struggles with this because it failed to meet that fine line.
This section where you are talking about your experiences with Elite Dangerous is so damn entertaining. I fell off that game pretty hard, but I’d like to give it another shot with a new outlook.
Check out star valor!
Big 3 bruh , do i interpret this right that as soon as a game isnt finished you dont call it a game 😐 i hope not
I held the Line ❤
In elite at the route settings in your galactic map you can choose an option to make further jumps you didn't get far really fast since you were limited to 1 to 5 lightyear jumps while you could make longer jumps this is what made jumping bearable for me the option that's selected on default is just more fuel efficient
I don’t even want Star Citizen, I want the single story Squadron 42 😢
I love space so much.
Its cold, dark, silent, empty and deadly (from our point of view).
Yet anything could be out there.
We still dont know if we're alone or not. Either way its terrifying.
We have no clue about how big the universe is. Or what the universe is in. Or where it comes from.
You can use space as a canvas for literally anything.
And bethesda chose… loading screens and slop.
Eve must be one of the least imaginative major scifi worlds of all time. One set of values is in play, one set of technological priorities, everyone is trying to do the same thing, and everything aligns perfectly with western settler colonial ideas… there is just zero self awareness in this game or its community of the absurdity of that expectation were there to be such a thing as interacting spacefaring species across a galaxy.
