Kratos does die, in the beginning when Thor shocks him back to life. That technically fulfills the prophecy of kratos dying against Thor in battle

Idk if i've gotten worse at games after i finished god of war, or if this game was way harder than it, although i really enjoy the challenge. The flow of the combat also felt smoother to me, but that might just be me again
