Does BG3 have its faults? Yes, Act 3 pales a bit in comparison to Act 2. But my god the fact that I have over 700 hours of play time and still have only seen 75% of the game is… 🤯.
I bought a PS5 for this, where I never considered myself a gamer before. I can’t stop this game, I can’t stop making different Durge’s, I can’t stop romancing the traumatized vampire and I can’t stop sobbing at the end with ‘goodbye sun, goodbye sea, goodbye’.
The fact that over a year after release layer and we are STILL getting patch updates is insane. And it’s for things people ask for.
Some studios mad as fuck that passion projects like Baldurs Gate 3 exist to remind gamers that high profit is a natural byproduct of the greatness of a quality game. The soulless mega corp in capitalist utopia, are screaming into to your ear about adjusting expectations, when all they do is churn out cash-grab microtransaction and slot-machines disguised as games to an increasingly angry consumer base.
Larian studios are artist who deeply care about their art and are giving the time and care a passion project needs. Build upon years of learning and perfecting their vision of greatness, they sit in the frontseat of gaming, deserving of the crown of the people.
its fine but one of the most overrated "games" ever imo. The gameplay feels like years going by for the first few hours. Even later in, the gameplay itself is like a 5. The story and characters/world are all very good especially if you already know some d&d though. Also nice selling the air up scam bro.

Just got the game this year and am in my first play through. Larian made a game where I WANT to spend money for more. If they made an expansion and raised the level cap, add on an already epic game. As Angry Joe says. "Take my monay!" I"m actually sad that there won't be more game through expansions, or BG4 from Larian. But I plan to put a ton of hours into this game, and make it my new Skyrim/Witcher 3.

I find it funny how back in the day everyone praised something like this. Demon souls and dark souls were praised for their accomplishments. Now that you have all these soulless studios cashing in on the bandwagon with lukewarm products they shit on it. To be fair, cyberpunk 2077 became an amazing game after a couple of years after launch and they keep delivering free and good content. Also, their expansion was a masterpiece. So you could state that CDPR learned their lesson with the backlash of releasing a broken game.
But Bioware, Bethesda, Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard not only produce broken and bad games, but also dont fix them or improve them as well.
Game of the decade. No question at all. I put 1200 hours into it.
