I beat Renalla with the power of scarlet rot
Fun fact: It isn't shown in this video, but Rennala can also summon a giant and a whole ass DRAGON during the bossfight.
Ranni: gives me wolf summons
Also ranni: invokes an OP version of her mother with magic.
Me: uses the wolf summons to take down that version
I see some likeness to Casca from Berserk in Rennala, both being great leaders who made their own fortune and then left broken with their disfigured children. And with a witch watching over them in times of need in Ranni and Schierke.
It doesn't feel right beating her up, even in 2nd phase.
This boss fight to me is art , i’ve lost my mother when i was very young and when i fought rennala my heart just stopped, I think ranni voice and words are soo accurate , she expresses perfectly the anger.. a very deep anger, dignity and pain of someone who lost his/her mother and is doing everything to protect that memory of her, we are fighting the version she wants us to remember and there is nothing more beautiful than this for me, when i first started elden ring i hated ranni but as i continued playing I started to understand her and the way she acts and became one of my favorite characters with rennala, all of this to Tell that I think some videogames are art, sometimes They can Tell more stories and make you experience more emotions than a painting, dress or film, to me elden ring is one if not the best example of this

My 5 min after I defeated her, watching repley to enjoy again, a great fight.
I like how the first phase is like a mix of Cuphead with stuff everywhere trying to hit you with a mix of 3D platforming boss gimmick of attack these obstacles protecting her to weaken her. Then the second phase is your good old hack and slash battle.
I don't understand why but, I've literally destroyed Radahn on the first attempt but struggling with Rennala everytime….

Finally got her !
I just beat Rennala yesterday after 3 attempts because i tried to figure out how to hit her in phase 1. In phase 2, I finished her after she casted her third spell (in 1 attempt). i was at lv 39 – 41 at that time with my claymor +6 or +7 and no spell. I was so greedy so i lost my chance to enjoy the fight.
Didnt realize you had to kill the golden scholars to break her shield so i just kept killing random scholars for 30 minutes straight and wondered why nothing was happening
Fromsoft has the wrist libraries 😅😅
I was honestly surprised at how easy phase 2 was. Literally took me about a minute to bleed her dry with Bloodhound's Fang and Bloodflame Blade. I only died once, and it was during the first phase
fcuk this boss, the blue orb shit just one shots me. and I need to beat her to reset and add more vigor since farming 20k runes for 1 vigor takes ages
this boss is so stupid even when i killed her with ease in my previous playthroughs with my new build i have long end lag and cant dodge when she ultrainstinct dodges and puts a crystal shotgun to my head to kurt cobain me
