I knew my rescue kitty was feeling happy and comfortable when she got the zoomies about two weeks after we adopted her. Each day she was with us, she started getting slightly more playful. Then one day the zoomies kicked in. That’s when I knew she had decided she was “home.”
Love this! All 3 of my cats get the zoomies at the most random times lol
My little fluff is doing laps around the house as we speak
Interesting video Never knew this
I cringe when my 20 lb grey tabby gets the zoomies🙀
My cat, Tommy, gets Zoomies. He will leap up to top of my recliner chair then jump back off. Often he will climb up my chest on way to top if chair.
My Misty doesnt need a reason fo get the zoomies she gets them all times of the
day for alsorts of reasons she's just a crazy 10mth kitten lol
I have a young cat and often gets the zoomies especially in the mornings. i usually play with him in the morning when I get up or, at night. I find it more entertaining than watching tv.

I sometimes get on my hands and knees when my cat has the zoomies, i stalk her in her tunnel and she stalks me back until she 'pounces' on me. She won't do this as part of a play session, she does it when she's happy I'm home and gets excited. It's kinda cool to engage in play like a four legged beast and my cat loves it, even though I wonder at times what on earth I'm doing when I'm on hand and knees stalking my cat 😂
Although previous cats we've had have to various levels of "zoomies" four year old Lenny never has past kittenhood. He's an indoor/outdoor cat depending on the weather the ratio is around 40%inside & 60%outside. Right now it's pouring down with a strong NW wind so this is indoor weather for Lenny and us, his human staff.😂
My cat gets the zoomies usually between 2 and 4 AM. I think it's because she's cold and this helps her warm up.
When my Mr Kitty get the zoomies and jumps I always say it's a flea fart that scared him
I get the zoomies too after a big toilet drop off!
My 10 mo feral female naturally has the zoomies in abundance. However, my sedate 12 yo feral male has now regressed to kitten hood. Not only do they play silent fisticuffs together, but they zoom around my small apartment playing "freeway". The problem? When I'm in bed I'm the "overpass". Oof! 😹
Up and down two flights of stair in late evening
I call them the "rips" he's got the RIPS!
My dog 🐕 gets zoomies as well. true story
I was about to say that I refuse to get up at dawn to play with the cat, but then I thought more about it. If he's tearing around the house at 5 a.m., knocking over lamps and furniture, I'll be up anyway.
they saw 'something' we couldn't see … jk
I always just think they happen because I didn't spend enough time playing with my cats to wear them out during the day.
I live on a farm, my cat 'Bella', a female tabby, runt of the litter but has balls of steel! She gets the Zoomies just before she wants to have a crap. Tears off like a lunatic, returns a minute later to dig a hole and continue on her mission 🤣
our indoor cat occasional gets them but only lasts a couple of minutes.
Morning, zoomies occur, but they sniff the cold air and off they go, front door or door to the back enclosed porch, cool air does it, we have two sets of stairs they run on, sounds like a herd of elephants when they ( 2 cats) run upstairs 4 bdrooms and they have access to all rooms. ( it's their house, we're just servants)
Her Ladyship doesn’t want anyone interfering with her zoomies, which can be micro, tiny, regular, or dragons in the kitchen sized. She prefers to entertain herself unless she wants pets.
All of mine have broken into zoomies. Some of them give a warning "prrrrt" before wreaking havoc on invisible things that they are chasing.
One best reason Cats got a vivid imagination and pretend things are hunting them 🙀😸 and as vets says a relief after the litter box
My beloved female cat, Miou, has most of her zoomies after she eats, more specifically, the wet food I give her in combination with the dry one. When she has those boosts of energy, I simply play with her, keeping her entertained and stimulated. Then it's lots of cuddling and petting.
Yessss my cat Chanel Callie definitely has the zoomies
My cat goes crazy every time she gets done in the litter box.
My cat is 9 and I don't ever remember seeing him with the zoomies. However, he is missing a back leg and so that may be why. His miniature Dachshund sister, age 10, does get the zoomies and she zooms around him and he loves it. He gets that wild kitten look on his face.
My cat stopped chasing a laser light after a couple months. She realized there was nothing that she could catch. Why some cats still chase them?
