All the dogs in our neighborhood are calmer now. I do energy work and have a balanced small dog, then I teach the precepts to the owner. I see them out and about often enough to reinforce and suddenly some pain in the butt dog is walking calmly by us. It's awesome.
Now i'm working on teaching a basset hound that is obsessed with me not to shriek or phlump over on her back so hard it feels like an earthquake. You get greeted when you calm down 🙂

Yeah, but how do you correct the owners who allow the jumping on strangers?
I take my full size aussie and my mini american shepard (mini aussie) to herd sheep… when my aussie and the farmers border collie start running cows the farmer is on a horse and he has the mini aussie with him on the horse on his leg it is sooo cute. when they finish with the cows the farmers puts my mini aussie back down on the ground and yells "run up" they haul ass to the house to get snacks from the farmers wife… carrots green beans or some jerky made for the dogs.. no seasoning at all… my mutt joins in on the run (she walks).. she wants a snack but she doesn't herd at all she has had surgery on both knees for luxated patellas. my mutt will however make all the chicken run back into the coop.. she doesn't wanna hurt them but she doesn't like them pecking at her..lol
how much time did you spend at the cattle ranch and where do I find a cattle ranch in forney texas where i can train my dog he is a blue heeler and that is low cost the fact that im disable i dont really have the money for training

Cesar how do you stop this new-big-wheel chasing when a leash has never been involved in the life of old dog and the animal has always had free roam of the land. Lately dog has moved from ignoring the loud engines to accepting neighbors to chase with (triggered by 4 wheeler drive to follow the 4 wheeler ) Now, my dogs chase cars due to a rogue practices when I am not nearby the dog or idling engine.
Now the animals move from rest to run at the command of the driver instead of accepting my preventive commands and later interventions.
I have never been okay with him chasing the 4 wheeler, but drive's idle at stand still until my dogs reacts is what I must inter ven and prevent.
To stop the run beside new and unknown vehicles which is now a new thing that I must stop most urgently.

My dog is triggered by motorcycles it's the sound that gets her she hears them coming from blocks away, also Cats that come out of nowhere, she's a strong dog and has pulled me down several times injuring me. My daughter insists to use a "spiked training collar" all the time. The fitting of those collars has to be tight and I like to give my dog the freedom to roam and sniff and enjoy herself, having her on a short leash and a training collar goes against the reason I walk her. I use a "Flexi" leash so she can roam as much as possible without restricting her as much as possible shortening when needed. She's pulled me down 3X this last month.
How can you calm a dog like this that also has really bad anxiety. This dog has me so moody now. Its to the point of making problems in my marriage. She never stops moving, she even spins while pooping and always getting it on herself when she tries to run from noises. She wakes up every monring at 3 or 4 am im losing sleep we have had her for 10 months now and I'm loosing it.
I hate jumping and licking dogs. Owners need to address this.
Would liked to have seen her Walking the dog with the bike going by.
