Would there be turbulence when your near a star and it has a coronal mass ejection
if the light is pushing it and reflecting then that means the reflected light is slower than it was before
Aliens: "How quaint"
Is it going to Cardassia?
I remember seeing the proposal for this on history channel when it was still a concept
It look like the thing from nope
Does it zig zag? If so i had a bad trip with a shinning pokey light
NOPE
It’s so cool that NASA can do this!
😊🙏 Have been watching other Night Sky Watcher videos about this Nasa Solar Sail … It looks like a moving star from their telescopes … Thank You So Much for the explanation! 🌷🌿🌏✌💜🕊
That's definitely my next vacation. A spaceship with solar sail.
Im really happy microblading was invented. On some women its just so aesthetically pleasing… oh ya, yaaaay science!
" The mote in God's eye" realized.
Instead of investing money and capabilities on earth to live better… they burn it in the sky under the pretext of our development.😂
Solar Wind Surfing is back on the menu dude! 🤙
Then, when this comes ip with numbers, these can be either the Dyson sphere or to be a space weapon..
Nasa Tie fighter ?
Hey!
13 inches isn't tiny!
can you timestamp your shorts? ty
I just watched the movie Sunshine looks similar.
Dude Star Wars be real now.
*"It takes you to where you want to go its whole new kind of Idea. It travels on the wind of the sun"* -Carl sagans (also from melodysheep's song)
Looks like Jean Jacket from Nope.
Isro has done it before
Lmao
It's called the mayflower satellite 😅
13in is tiny ok good to know
So if solar rays can interact similar to air/wind here on earth to allow us to travel via solar sail, can space travel also be performed using a solar wing?
I might have seen this on a very clear starry night a few weeks ago when I was just looking at the stars about 4 AM. It looked like a tiny star moving steady across the sky. Not as bright as the other stars and much smaller, but I could clearly see it and noticed it because it was just cruising along at a nice steady pace. It was not an aircraft, it was up there in orbit, either this solar sail or the space station or satellite or some such thing.
This reminds me of the movie Armageddon and one of their ‘failed’ plans to send a craft that would released solar sails lol Guess it would’ve worked after all and Harry didn’t need to die 😋
You can't say " In theory". If it's up there and working then it's not "in theory"😅
That’s awesome
So what you're telling me is that space pirates are possible?
The speed is dynamic right? Won't it accelerate until it leaves the suns cosmic rays sweet spot? What is actually the energy, which atoms/quarks/nuetrino's.
Solar sail technology has been around for a while. It's actually a lot faster on paper than any rocket ship we've build. I can't wait to see what this technology can do.
Pfft Tron legacy did it first
Harvesting light to power things to venture space……. To think other beings on billions of galaxies haven’t thought of this? Mind blown 🤯
Is it the one that is moving towards the closest star to ours. What is it going use as energy once it is out of reach of our sun?
