It's funny, I just played this game for the first time & I didn't know anything about it. But I instinctively put on my Azkaban prisoner outfit before buying the shop! It just seemed like the appropriate thing to wear for the occasion, even though I had no idea I'd be stuck in a demented ghost hell playground.

I know I'm late, but the fact that the base game doesn't allow you to change season still pisses me off. The option being kinda available in the photo mode is just insult to injury.
Bought Hogwart's Legacy on the Switch – Highway robbery, I paid full price for a game that barely runs with iPhone graphics and ghastly cut downs. So much wrong with the copy, there's no Hogwarts feel to the school or grounds, loading screens everywhere, poor fps and unplayable quests. A real pain and waste of money, which is testament to how we really need the Switch 2, instead of Nintendo greedily prolonging that ancient piece of hardware
I don't understand why anyone is complaining about it. Photo mode, cool quest, nice clothes, skill points reset. Good stuff. 🙂

I saw hogwarts 2 got confirmed and was wondering if you would be able to do a video on what you would want to see, some of the things that need to be changed and parts left out that you'd definitely want. Your review was so detailed and you covered a lot of what I'm talking about, and it might just be me but i'd love to know what you'd want to see come up. Personally the ministry of magic and diagon alley im crossing my fingers for 🫶
How about a stuttering fix update ? This game is unplayable on pc
Grass taking 5 seconds to render is really not important to me as a gamer. It doesn’t stop gameplay. Also, I allow myself to remember it’s a video game. A video game, not a movie made with cameras and real grass that’s simply filmed and projected onto my screen. Yes, the game has to load. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏼♀️🤷🤷🏾♀️

Even if they did it as End Game only that would be cool. Like after the conclusion of the main story add the ability to switch seasons for Ambience, like they have the Ambience change for the Room of Requirement.
I really hope the next HP game that comes out is you just playing through years 1-7 as a normal student, classes and all. Life Sim or RPG style with more attention put into the castle and less on the open world. Let me make a character and turn them into a potions expert or a dueling champion over the course of many dozens of hours.
I've never had that going on with the grass, but i have had fps drops when going in and out of the Hogwarts doors.
Personally i feel as though grass not immediately rendering is scraping the bottom of the barrel for stuff to complain about. I realistically wouldnt even call that an issue, it doesnt effect the game in any way shape or form other than visually.
I never have render issues at 1080p on pc(I still need to upgrade monitors) I'm guessing it's hardwear issue

3. goofy side missions (like giving crab and goyle the cupcakes type of stuff)
4. even bigger castle (no big countryside just the forest/hogsmeade and the castle)
5. quidditch (instead of this god awful looking new quidditch game coming up)
6. house cup
7. sneaking at night quests
8. a bigger and scarier forbidden forest
9. detention side quests
10. a personal owl that interacts with you
11. arriving and leaving at kings cross / platform 9 3/4
12. finding the secret passages
13. potion classes
14. O.W.L's
15. Bully/Rival (like Draco)
16. Cozy Christmas/Halloween scenes with lighthearted fun quests
17. Meeting Harrys great grandfather or something
18. 1 Evil teacher with a hidden motive to stop instead of a Goblin antagonist
19. Better dueling club with optional spell classes to be earned
20. Dementors and Expecto Patronum (Dont know how but they could have figured it out)
21. Choosing between christmas at hogwarts or at home/diagon alley?
22. Diagon Alley shopping spree beginning of the year.
23. A tight friend trio (like Harry, Ron, Hermione)
24. Side quests where you have to hide from another Filch type character(squib janitor)
25. Actual consequences to your actions
26. Meeting Voldemorts grandfather at hogwarts(already kind of evil / Maybe a Draco malfoy type)
27. Being able to read the daily prophet a few times
28. Ministry of Magic mission at the beginning of the year to discuss the fact you dont start in The 1st year
29. NO UNFORGIVABLE CURSES (i hated this)
30. Befriend the game keeper (for some fun Care of Magical creatures side quests)

Got the deluxe edition on sale for 33 dollars excellent purchase so far and I don’t even have the talent tree brooms or half the spells yet. I’m playing speed for graphical fidelity and I’ve only had a few glitches mostly innocuous clock physics issues and come clipping or pop in rarely

In the quest where you use poly juice potion to impersonate the headmaster. There’s literally a point where you talk to the quidditch coach specifically about the absence of quidditch. People will say it’s a hint but in reality it’s the devs laughing at the player. So many times the game nods to the absence of quidditch then they come out with an update that doesn’t include quidditch at all. They literally mock the consumer within the dialogue multiple times.
Took them over a year to do this, all that time to make an expansion wasted

The game needed a persona like calendar system. It would’ve been super fun sneaking out of the castle, and making a schedule. Just what I would’ve done personally.
What I think the Liquid Luck potion should have done is increase your changes of getting higher rarity clothing items from enemies & loot chests, that would have fit better with the whole "Luck" aspect

This game is by far the most Painfully MID game. Like make choices in dialogue? No meaningful difference. Only difference I actually saw was the different house specific missions Spellcasting looks flashy for the first few hours, then every fight looks the same. Graphically looks great. Hogwarts is amazing… no buts there it is the definitive portrayal if the castle. Hogsmede is cute too, every other location is the same variation of grass, and cobblestone village

Credit where credit is due: I wasn’t aware of the haunted hogs Meade shop quest, and going through it blind was legitimately thrilling. It got a bit monotonous at times but it felt like a fresh change of pace! The rest of it was pretty disappointing though
