All that's good in the game is the cut scenes which sometimes won't load in
Not worth buying for £60 it's passable for a budget game £20 or less
Took my copy of the game back to the store after 1 day 😍
I hate the game it's a complete mess graphics are just as good as the Xbox 360
A lot of people who are claiming they love Arkham Knight are the same people who used to bash it back in the day. I feel like people will come to like Gotham Knights more when they actually play it, because most of those hating it haven't even played it.
Its flawed but its fun, i see potential after a few patch fixes and DLC
Oh wow don’t tell me you another one of these Microsoft haters huh the Xbox series S buddy which your pony WB developer purposely capped on all nextgen systems outshines both. Which was tested on Digital foundry dam shame the idiot developer just didn’t want to take the caps off the systems and started talking smack. Probably cause he saw both the S and X as well performance out shine the Ps5. The results of what he did shows the low tier Series S climbing above 30 to the 40fps lying ass developer knowing dam well he has personal grudge against Microsoft and doesn’t want to do what he’s paid to do despite his feelings needs to be fired for being lazy n incompetent . I know one thing if I ever hear someone crapping on the Series S and X I’m not fallen for their Bs.Yet then this developer is caught in a lye n a bad lyer at that.
Arkham Knight day one performance without any of the redeeming qualities.
Seeing as how I'm the only one with a PS5 I don't think I'll get it. Not yet at least. Don't see me enjoying this game as much without playing it with one of my friends.
I love it! No it’s not perfect but it is a ton of fun! And it’s nice to have a game to free roam as red hood and other bat family members. The Gotham is damn near perfect.
It's a fun story an ok gameplay. In my opinion it would be so much better if the fighting mechanics was the classic counter system instead of the Spiderman dodge. Also if they did better with traversal, Batgirl is good but the others is such a chore to get around.
Already level 36
The prison fight mission has been my best so far.
It's not that bad tbh, it's a product of its time. WOKE, boring, remakes and writers/producers running out of ideas. Definitely not the worst thing out there.
I love the game the only thing is the fps and the mod chips are confusing to still 😭 but it’s so good looking the combat I love for each character don’t dislike anyone and co op is good but very laggy
I’m a big Batman fan. One of those dumb idiots who’s really into the lore and world and big big fan of all the Arkham games. I remember seeing previews for this game a year or 2 ago and being totally turned off. It’s not what I wanted after Arkham. Suddenly the week of release happened and I got this itch to get it. So I did after watching barely any reviews on it and I gotta say I’m pleasantly surprised. The “rpg elements” are a bit annoying but I hardly engage with them. I just craft the next best thing. The combat took some getting used to but I’m really liking it and I don’t find the open world repetitive at all. I like the way they’ve set up the crime system. I’m really here mostly for the characters and story and so far I’m not disappointed at all. I really like the Gotham that they’ve created. It’s got this great look and feel As you move around the city. It’s solid game definitely a 7 or 7.5 for me
I haven’t played as much as you, but Batgirl’s VO performance has been a bigger gripe to me than the frame drop issues (which haven’t been so bad for me so far). It just feels like she’s reading lines in a booth, while the others are all actually talking to people, which is frustrating because she’s the character I’m most excited to play and was intending to main. I take hope from the idea you came to like it though. Hoping she warms up throughout the story/the booth read or whatever
I didn't realise it until someone mentioned it, now I can't get passed it. There's no dedicated jump button🤣.
wtf..?? are u really fighting FAT BITCHES..???XDXDXDXDXDXDXD
You are not a nice person
Flawed, but fun. With some great promise for future content. I do hope WB Montreal are able to keep support going and aren't forced to cut it off. I want to see Batwoman and Damian get added, with more gear pieces for each suit than just 3 parts.
I do hope to get some quality of life improvements like a better UI and to let us change it's color scheme. I don't really like the purple, I'd much rather have the classic blue batcomputer look.
People are missing out this game is really fun!
imagine how great this game would be if it has the counter system that the arkham game have and if this game is 60fps. these 2 things would had made this game a solid 8 or even a 9.
That's how it seems most people feel when they actually play the game for a while.
It's got issues. It's not a great game. But, "I kinda like it" is accurate.
I never understand when ppl say fighting in a game is repetitive. I grew up playing 8 and 16 but beat ‘em ups like double dragon and streets of rage, repetitive is not a word that ever popped in my head then either.
Im actually really enjoying this game. Playing on pc so regarding the 30fps stuff cant really say much. Been having a solid 60fps with the occasional dip to 40fps driving around. Yet the game itself im enjoying quite a lot. Playing solo for now, but the combat i am enjoying a lot. Its not that bad still very solid combat especially once u get in the groove/rhythm of things its very satisfying. Take away health bars, numbers from hud it feels a bit like spiderman than like an assassins creed/avengers. Also to me its pretty damn smooth the clunky aspect for me is the jumping between platforms/to the ground. I cant really see the avengers in this game at all and it really does it a disservice imo to compare the two. This game has a lot of effort put into it and avengers had little to none. I get ppl want arkham and this is the first "batman" game since knight but looking at this as ok they are trying something new, and are trying see what works and what doesnt.
From what i heard this game has gone through development hell it was like 4 iterations before becoming an almost all in one (pls correct me if im wrong). Its a very fun game and the story to me at least is pretty interesting. I say even as a gotham knights series cuz this game is its own universe/story i would like see them expand on it. Its a solid base regarding combat, and city to explore. Prob my main grips is the constant return to belfry to reset for a new night.
Seems like the hate is being overblown and this game was kinda doomed from the start ngl. The way they marketed it was pretty ass, and it wasnt until the last month to release it started gaining attraction until the 30fps controversy.
I haven't really played the arkham games just whatever open world fighting whenever i went to a cousins place. I will play the arkham games after this tho cuz i have just started getting into DC specifically batman as of recent for the 1st time. Dont know much of the heroes and villains. This game is my 1st time seeing the bat family, i knew of them but didnt know story/who was what specifically. Also reading comics to see more of these characters stories and universe
I dont think the frames per second on consoles should be locked at 30fps…
As far as turning off icons to grab or numbers appearing after hits. I simply mix it up by pressing the right trigger while I am using the X and B button (Series X). And I grab them spontaneously which is somewhat rewarding (nice surprise) when its activated.
All the hate going on I was skeptical. But with my 8 to 9 hours of playing I enjoyed it. I will continue to do so as more patches may come in the future for the annoyances that people are talking about.
enjoying game…playing on PS5 frames not a issue
I've gotta talk about the repetitive aspect because yes it's true but I like it. According to my Xbox I have 9hrs and I literally just left Black Gate talking to Harley. I haven't even heard of the Court of Owls yet because all I've been doing is patrolling to city as Red Hood, then I switch to Robin and did the same thing since he needed leveled up. I know people will hate this aspect but I'm enjoying myself just patrolling Gotham and stopping crimes. It's crazy how many crimes you run into though it's like Spiderman on steroids because everytime I head to a crime I see 3 smaller ones and I gotta do them and interrogate so I get more crimes the next night. Idk why but so far I'm enjoying that aspect way more than I ever would've imagined
Grinding…. That's the biggest problem of this game. This game is mediocre with TERRIBLE traversal mechanics.
If your a picky impatient gamer who wants something completely mind blowing every game you buy you won't enjoy the game is fun

Actually, I've read that a patch can't fix the frame rate issue because they baked Ray Tracing into the game, rather than having it be something that's a toggle. So it's like it's baked in, and a layer underneath that cannot be changed, hence why there is no Ray Tracing option on Consoles. That's one of the key reasons why, is it is not built or optimized correctly and they're essentially stuck with that build.
