Using Nuclear kind of Rocket Engins would be a good idea if you're going to Mars.
If they only invested $35 million then they aren't taking it seriously. 35 mill is nothing compared to most programs..
Moon base ship manufacturers seem most credible
Elon musk is a Major force for space innovation, but others need to be encouraged blue origin, and others CCP China not playing around they are seriously competitive, space mining astroids, moon mars
Space x space force, your hybrid systems need to be incorporated into starships
can you link sources?
TRUMP IS THE BEST PRESIDENT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
3:01 "Maintaining high speeds"
No it doesn't maintain speed. It accelerates gently. In space, inertia is all that is needed to maintain speed.
Thanks!
Cool will be able to go to the moon and mars and back a lot faster!
Nuclear thermal rockets! I realize DARPA is doing this already, but nobody else ever considers this!
I am curious. Where are “Sterling Engines” in your presentation? They are low-heat, low-tech, high-efficiency, consistent proven technology. While banned from operating during launches (due to their tendency to become shrapnel in a launch explosion), they CAN simply be launched in a non-operating state, or in a piece-meal state and then assembled by anyone on the ISS or on Mars for Base-Ops. They have ZERO need for any containment field, produce zero radiation and can operate for decades with little maintenance. They can and have been proven to operate small, civilian submarines and small cities (population: 10,000 or less).
Impulse engine
Chemical rockets are not liquid dude. These use powdered aluminum & magnesium in a careful blend with other choice additives.
35 mil is not enough.
Personally I think anyone who goes to Mars without nuclear power on board is out their mind.
And the Russians said it is also not feasible to have a permanent human base on Moon's south pole without nuke power source. Hence why they are building one for the moonbase.
So we get all that ….. and nuke powered ion drives makes sense long haul – get that too.
When the World's most experienced space countries say the same thing – it is a given.
It also seems ion drives may not be so useful for Earth to Moon travel – except for cargo … too slow?
haven't seem much in the way of discussion or agreement by US or Rus engineers on that subject ?
the real problem is closer to home – how to economically get stuff off Earth and assemble a larger ship in orbit.
Musk thinks giant 100% reusable rockets
the other interesting option is the Aerospike Rocket engine – and build lightweight cargo rockets to "non-human rated" standards – purely robotic – like the Russian Korona concept . Seems 3D printing progress is making the Spike engine nozzle feasible now ?
Would you believe i tracked a Man made Space Vehicle approx 2 years while looking at the Rising Moon in Rural Victoria AUS .The Vehicle was going slow enough for my Telescope to track it ,only for around 2 mins .The spacecraft looked liked it had folded wings halfway along the Wing .I only seen it because it reflected light for a few mins ,also ive seen Satellite's that meet up together for a few mins than go different ways ,some even zig zag ,in the last 2 years .I use a Celestron SE 10 Inch Automatic Telescope .
Sorry about this all.
Why everyone is stil so stupid?
Why you can not see the facts.
Human, or anyone can not handle those g forces.
So, it is very simple.
If you zero all g forces first. On every direction.
Then you are on 0 point.
Where ever direction you need to go, you only open that g force direction, and you will be pulled to that direction…
Simple.
No g forces …..
Lol what a load of crap
7:42 This is exactly why I'm convinced that building spaceships in orbit is the smartest approach if we truly want to achieve interplanetary travel to Mars or beyond. Launching from space would save an enormous amount of fuel compared to fighting Earth’s gravity! Great video—love the thought-provoking content!
How hard could it be to cool in space? The average temperature of outer space is 2.7 kelvins, which is about -455° Fahrenheit or -270° Celsius.
Re heat dissipation – that’s still energy that could potentially be used to provide additional thrust or converted to electricity and stored in rechargeable batteries.
I’m sure I’m not the only person to think of that but hoping long-term innovations are working towards those energy uses, too.
Or build a warp core by combining dilithium crystals with antimatter, instructions on the MemoryAlpha website
👍
I don't like Trump but I do like the idea of a space agency, NASA's been dropping the ball for decades.
Why not stick a nuclear pellet inside of a humongous thermopile, turn the heat directly into electricity no steam that is so 19th century as long as we continue to use mechanical generators for electricity we're going to be stuck in the 19th century this is archaic do you really want to get to the space age or are you just slow playing for a reason
Why not add a ram scoop to harvest ions from space say hydrogen ntp hybridized with ionic thrust and chemical propulsion multi-fuel I believe solar sails to be absolutely ridiculous, space sales in one way trip.
Fantasy clickbait. This propulsion system is in no way ready as depicted in that animation lol it can barely push a brick in orbit right now lol
Low Earth Orbital Petrol Station ?? And next one by the Moon ?? And another on Mars Orbit
Trump thinks he invented the word "caravan." Whatever, Stinky. 😂
Boring
we have anti gravity propulsion already….this is like taking a horse and buggy to work…..ridiculous
