Lol I used to live in my brother's house 4 bedroom living room den large dining room and a long hallway and I ran through that house with Atlas on the end of my line every day 2 or 3 times a day. Then I moved onto my own property in my camper trailer that's probably the size of my brother's living room and it is SOOO much harder to play. The built in couch is in the way I run into the cabinet, and Atlas kinda looks at me like I'm stupid because it's just not as much fun for either of us. 😢 I'm planning on removing the built in furniture to open up some more space while we're waiting to build the house.
Where do I purchase the toy used in this video!!!
I just wanna point out it is very astounding that you have placed three rugs or maybe more in that room in which there are cats….surprising really.
Good tips!
Your videos were super helpful! I realized my cat runs on dog.exe and he wants to play like a dog! He looooooves chasing balls, playing fetch and playing tug of war. He's so much happier in helping me realize how creative I need to be
Okay this is great info my only problem is that my cat prefers independent toys. She won’t play with people at all. I’ve tried many of the things in this video but she still prefers independent toys. Any advice on encouraging her to play more with her independent toys
Omg he talked about the multi cats!! My poor darlings, so far I’ve tried to hold one while the other gets to play a bit. Even if she’s winded and is panting, she’ll still try to grab the thing lmao
My cat at my parents house is scared of toys we're in control of due to an unknown history, but he does play when we're not looking 😅
what to do if you have 2 cats that fight for attention / play? one of my cats will be occupied but as soon as he sees me playing with my other cat, he runs over and steals the spotlight. if i put him in a room and close the door, hell cry and i feel too bad.
My cat waits for sunbeams from the window every morning. I can't distract her even with food. Any reflection of light on the walls and the cat is gone
My cat looks at the stick holding the bird or mouse … she is like , I see what you are doing …
She lose interest after a few seconds , toys with butteries scares the hell out of her …
This is so helpful along with the comments. I have a 8 year old tuxedo cat named Jethro who I’ve been trying hard to get in routine of play and eat. He doesn’t seem to want to play, sometimes only swatting a couple times occasionally I can get him to jump for it. I try to simulate bird or mouse movements. The most reaction I get is with feathers. He is only cat in house and is a confident cat. I keep enduring and will keep playing even if he doesn’t react to it for like 15 mins in morning and 15 mins at night before food. He’d rather snuggle and get love than play it seems. I’m trying to get him to play more cause he sometimes does that meow that means he’s bored. I also have cat tv fish tank and bird feeders. Hes only cat in house and a confident cat. Any other suggestions? I did recently buy some of your toys Jaxon so we will see how those go.
Thanks for video. I am one who can't get my cats to play. I believe your video will help.
Thank you so much, every now and again my cat loses interest in playing and I come back to this video each time and I'm instantly reminded of how and why he's lost interest. This video helps tremendously!
my cat is street cat and she never wanna play… whenever i tried to play with her, she never responded 😭 she even rarely makes a sound🥲🥲
It’s been a couple of weeks now since I discovered this channel and I’m really glad I found it! Thanks for the help! And nice guitars 😂
My cat loves the stairs to play, favourite place is top of the stairs and in the dark or dusk. Not the most safest place I know but these things get me high in my cats best mate list.
Do you ship your products to France?
What do you do with a cat that catches, go hide with it and does not let go! Like clenched teeth, growling, not letting go at all!!!
❤️ Thanks! Take care.
You're the randomness that is foundational. That's why I beleive AI while able to do a great many things quite well , it's limited to information fed to it.
I can get down and up off the floor but I'm mobility challenged. I do play with the cats but I can't run around like that.
One of my cats is definitively a wall flower cat, I didn’t know there was a term for it! Now I have a plan how to get him to play too. Your videos are so helpful
Thank you ❤
I've been trying to follow these tips and i do get my cat to engage and go after the toy but when he actually gets it it's like he's scared…? He either starts aggressively grooming himself or he will jump on the toy and instead of catching it he will run away super quick and hide in the next room. We've tried all kinds of toys and i dont see a difference depending on air/ground toy and size. Is that something he will get over in time or do i make things worse by continuing to play with him?
I have a new cat that was found half starved in a yard from an unknown situation. We have only had him at our house for two weeks now, and try 3 or 4 times a day to play with him. He will be interested in a toy for a moment or two, and then completely ignore it. It doesn't matter how much we move around or act like prey, he doesn't seem interested. Once in awhile, a toy can hold his interest for more than a brief moment, but it only lasts 5 minutes at the most. Also, any sound or motion outside of the toy completely distracts him, and then he won't go back to the toy.
Is all of this just because everything is new to him? We are getting him fixed next week, will that help? We really want to give him a good home, and are feeling like we are failing in the play area… Is there anything else we should do?
I am currently cat sitting and I am watching this since I never owned a cat 😀
