Honestly, I'm still having fun with Miles Morales. When I see the grappling hook being used, it highlights how much freedom is lost compared to web slinging around the city. THAT part alone makes Spiderman better than this. I still wanna give Arkham a try, but we'll see. Idk yet

I am going to say that I really enjoy the game. I think the reviews are way too negative on some points.
There are a lot of tech issues I think they def deserve a lot of criticism for.
But: I think the city is beautiful, even though a lot of people disagree. I also think the combat is really decent, but it requires that you see the game as an arpg, not as a spiritual successor to arkham.
Another thing I think the game really needs to be criticised for, is its ux design. The way the game communicates what is happening, how its systems work etc, is really poor. One of my favorite reviewers, SkillUp, said that Items do not have perks. They do, its just hidden away in a way that is unfriendly to the player.
Enemies have weaknesses, that you can go through the game without knowing about.
The controls are a bit poor.
A lot of the textures are bad.
But in general I think the gameplay is really really fun, the story is decent enough. And I just like the systemic gameplay that the game offers.
I think the devs should
1. Fix their optimisation
2. Fix their User interface and the way they provide info.
3. Redo or improve on existing textures.
The game really just nees a bit more polished.

Under the lens of supposedly being a current gen game they want a whole ass $70 for yeah as the game is now it deserves to get raked over the coals. They certainly could use to get knocked down a peg which hopefully in turn results in them either getting super shit hot about getting some sort of 60FPS Performance mode patch going or reducing the price to a level that reflects the effort. I'll definitely pick it up once one of those 2 events happen
Thing is, initially I distinctly remember it was going to be $60 to get both the PS4 and PS5 version on the PSN store. Had they stayed humble and just trucked along on that plan I'd not be the slightest bit upset about the lack of 60FPS mode. But they had to get all high and mighty canceling the previous gen version AND raising the price up to current gen prices so nah. They can have some backlash and bad reviews so long as they are charging the full ass price in it's current state
After seeing the opener I already knew it was gonna be good. It’s obvious the reason some people don’t like this is because it wasn’t done by Rocksteady. It was the same company that made Arkham Origins (WB Montreal). The exact things were said about Arkham Origins. It’s a good game. I’m truly enjoying it.

The game itself has horrible frames ATM and I'm running a 3080 with 32 gigs ram. Even lowering the settings makes little difference. I shouldn't be getting under 60 frames lol. This needs to be patched soon cuz I'm so impatient to play lol

People need to stop comparing Rocksteady games and WB Games Montréal. Totally different Devs. I’m loving the game so far and yes I’ve played the original Trilogy. Still gotta beat Arkham Knight, but I beat the first two games. Does it have issues? Yes, but the city is so Amazing at least to me. 🤷♂️
You play this game like a 4 year old
The main things i stuggled with playing on Series x.
-Drastic frame drops.( Noticed the very 1st time they made me drive /sooo many Visual Effects on some missions)
-Camera has robbed me of combos and defense many times.
-Buttons presses not registering.
Taking damage while locked in grab ani.
-Grappling not going where i want too most of the time
-(nitpick)no jump Button to mitigate frustration of being stuck in a spot you cant grapple from.
-Collision with other players screwing me over.

Yes, I understand the drops as well but a patch will be coming. I brought the more expensive edition and I'm just happy to be playing another batman game

Playing on PC, on a high end system, RTX 3080, I am enjoying it- but I feel like if I was playing it on console O probably wouldn’t nowhere near as much. I’m getting 100fps WITHOUT ray tracing. With Ray tracing game drops to 40 fps & is super janky. game is VERY poorly optimized for Ray Tracing, they should’ve just not done it. I think it is playing a big role in how game feels on console. RTX isn’t an option, it’s mandatory, and so your stuck at 30 fps max. Also, you can change crowd density on PC & so I have mine in very high & Gotham has NPCs walking all over the place. This game reminds me of Cyberpunk, a very different experience in PC than console. Even made for PC, not console. Also, of course you aren’t supposed to feel like Batman, you aren’t him, you are essentially his side kicks. Reviewers don’t seem to understand this as they keep comparing it to Arkham combat. Yes, Batman’s combat is gonna feel way better, it should, he’s BATMAN. I feel like part of what makes the game feel more legit is the fact that you don’t feel like Batman in combat, you feel like someone trained by Batman.
How tf do you make a game with no vibration?? I'm on ps5 and I can only get a tiny bit of rumble when I drive the Bat-cycle into things.
