I agree that the funniest part other than the “I am not a cat” is the other lawyers reaction to that statement
Well, you have an alternative if you ever run out of funny hats!
OMG, thank you for that!! I haven't laughed till i cried for years. I could not stop laughing!! I really needed that!!
I bet a child in that house had a good talking to later. I do have to agree though, that it is in some way incredibly adorable to hear him say he is not a cat.
3:32 Wait, are you actually saying it's acceptable for lawyers not knowing what software is installed on their work computers? I don't know about this one in particular, but a lot of these fart apps are funded by collecting and selling the users' data, i.e. spyware. Not knowing what software is installed on your computer doesn't sound at all like "Acting Competently to Preserve Confidentiality", as the American Bar Association calls it.
The kitty lawyer provided not only a service in the form of his job in front of the court that day, but a world wide service of giving a welcome laugh to people, in times where such laughs are very welcome indeed! "I'm not a cat". 😂
Lol get me a lawyer dawg
If you want more Zoom chaos, I know it's not really law, but if you want to look at the recent Handforth Parish Council Zoom call from I think early December that got uploaded in the last week or so, brace for Midland England accents but it is a show and a half, how unprofessional the blokes are and how they think they're in charge. Not the first time they've been like that either according to a news interview.
I have to admit I wasnt expecting any of them to show any humor (used to Irish courts) but fair play to top right for at least looking human
… But wouldn't a cat say that?
I do believe that lawyer handled himself with the grace of a cat.
It was a purrrfect call.
Yeah, no, he's getting mocked 2 high heaven!
If I needed a lawyer for a jury trial, I would definitely want a kitten lawyer presenting to the jury.
I appreciate the judge's desire that this video not be used to mock the lawyers. But he's not the boss of me.
Without a silly hat on I don't know if I can take you seriously.
Dude has said he was using his secretary's laptop. The judge helped him remove the filter. It wasn't on much longer after the video ended.
And this is why you have your work computer for yourself only and your kids have their own computer. 😹
Boomers…
Turns out that it wasn't Snap Camera, but instead Dell's old webcam software (Live! Cam Avatar), and this cat was apparently the default setting if you had this software installed.
Please never use that again ._.
There's something so wrong about these filters.
oh my god, poor guy. his daughter probably doesn't understand the severity
All it takes is just one John Richman to wear a cat mask and every powerhipster falls for it on day one.
I work in eDiscovery, where law and technology intersect. I can attest to this, people who have spent their education and career pursuing law are often not up to speed on technology. This is not limited to lawyers, you see it with doctors a lot, and also commonly with police. Technological knowledge is not as critical a skillset in those fields, and the people working in those fields can generally hire someone with a technical background for the occasions where such skills are necessary. Your average 8 year old likely is more tech-savvy than your average attorney. Kudos to those who master both, but occurrences like this happen, albeit in less comedic ways, every day. That's just reality. We don't expect florists to be elevator repair engineers, we don't expect stockbrokers to know underwater welding. Don't expect lawyers to be knowledgeable in SnapChat. I know my way around technology, but that would have likely taken me a good 10 seconds to figure out, as I don't use SnapChat. And those would have been the longest 10 seconds of my life.
But high-five to the kid who turned their dad into a living, breathing Cat-Meme during a legal proceeding. You're a fucking Legend kid.
And this is why you don't let kids play on your work computers…..
