I know I'm late to the party but there is such an easier way. Just use the metal chest or the metal brick to knock it off lol
I ended up just using stasis on the chest and hitting it with an arrow so it fell off
I used stasis and a bomb arrow for the chest, however knocking it off was so much easier. lol

Of course it was something ridiculously simple. I spent about 30 minutes carefully pushing a large stack of those breakable blocks over to jump across to the chest lol.
