Cat love playing with toys
My name is Jennifer declue my cat I live
I made one a little while ago that's become a thing my cat loves to chase and kick from time to time, and that's one of ye olde plastic easter eggs that refuses to simply come undone with a couple small glass beads inside to give it a nice noise when she swats it around.
alternatively, she seems to think my knees are prey and will nip at them sometimes during cuddles. thank god for double-layered pants and tall thick socks. definitely going to do the tubes at some point, though, even if just to see how patient she really is.
Thanks for your videos, really enjoy them. I made my cat a puzzle toy with Duplo that my grandkids have grown out of. Change it around every week to keep my Moggy on her toes.
I found some fluffy socks, but they are house socks with these anti slip buds. How the heck do I remove these so that the toys are safe for the cat?
Awesome, HAD TO HIT SUBSCRIBE ! Thank you 💯🔥🤣
You need a better glue gun. Also finger tip glue gun protectors. Great video
Natural substitute for poly fill??????❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, Mr. Galaxy, a retired psychiatrist here. I watched "My Cat From Hell" at Animal Planet, I missed it. For the wand, I prefer to punch the stick to attach the cloth like sewing it, not using glue as my cat may ingest it. I also sew mice using the method with a square cloth, doubled diagonally, and I followed instructions years ago from a video in YT on how to fold a handkerchief to make a mouse. I learned that as a child and forgot how to do it. Then I sew the borders and make the face with black stitches for the eyes and nose, no small pieces or fillings to ingest as it is done with a square piece of an old T-shirt. Pinterest had a video years ago using the cardboard tubes of toilet paper, gluing them inside a shoe box for small toys. I put each mouse in each roll, abt 12 mice in a box, about 4 inches each mouse. My cat has this toy attached to her cat tree since some years ago, and she plays a lot with the mice. I strongly recommend it.
🤣🤣🤣
Literally, I am researching how to make a peekaboo doughnut tunnel,Bed and this video came on 🙌🏼 I for sure going to try this idea.
I paused video after first toy and made the sock kicker. My elderly cat played w it like a kitten ❤
I love this! I want to make one for my cats! ❤
I was hoping that he would show cats playing with these homemade toys
I want to try the toilet paper roll/paper towel roll puzzle. I have a cat who wants treats all the time. This might help to keep him busy.
The kicker looks doable and fun for Owlet and MrMystier Purrrrr. Cut up small pieces of old clothes can substitute for polyfil if you don't have any or to repurpose. I have been trying to think of rough surfaces for them to scrape teeth since Mr can only have wet food due to urinary crystals.
My cats L🥰VE these toys. Thank you.
(Jackson, crafters sometimes use rubber/silicone finger or thumb protectors when working with hot glue gun.)
Chopsticks 🥢
Kate! Your outfit is absolutely stunning! 🤩
Great ideas!
I work at a municipal shelter and often times give groups tours, and then we do projects. I would like to see a lot more DIY project videos. Thank you for everything you do.
him: today we're gonna make stuff!
Me: naw for real
I buy expensive cat toys and then my kitties go play with the box, or chase a bottle cap around. They do seem to like simple things – a ping-pong ball, or a paper bag with some catnip in it, or a bird feeder by the window. Or the kitten thinks it’s hilarious to sit on the older cat and start a wrestling match.
My cat would just flip the whole box over
q: how long before catnip loses its smell?
I've been doing the sock thing for a long time. I don't even use fiber, I stuff it with other torn up socks or worn out t-shirts.
I love the idea of puzzle toys for my cat. Right now, we are still working on the "it's right under the paper, i can see it and smell it, why can't you?" 😅
My cat baby has a piece of wire (kind of the same consistency of a chain link fence) but it's about 3 inches long and is twisted in the shape of a tornado.. But baby LOVES this wire! He will go get it from the toy box and bring it to his dad for his dad to throw it.. so he can go fetch it and bring it back.. he will do this for hours!!
My 4 month kitty loves ping pong balls! A great and cheap toy that he hits all around the house, jumps up high when I bounce it. Great exercise! We have about 20 of them around the house.
I like making scratching boards from cardboard strips, glue to hold them tougther and in a box or some ki da strip of paper or cardboard around the sides.n
I also plan to make scratching posts with some kinda tube and twine like rope.
My cat isn’t food motivated and she refuses to eat food that isn’t in her bowl (unless it’s a tube) but I’ll definitely be trying the others!
I tried the sock puppet toy. Our Main Coon poked several deep holes in my hand before I retreated. Not a good Idea.
⭐️PRO TIP: Instead of using crinkle paper or plastic bags as stuffing materials, just use the package from their empty treat bags. Your cat already loves that sound anyway.
Companies spend lots of money to R&D the purrfect packaging to become so addicting to the cats. Just one shake of the treat bag and house cats spawn out of thin air. True story!
Kudos
That toilet paper tube toy is nonsense. The food gets stuck in the gaps between the tubes and no cat will be able to get it out of there.
can’t say enough how stupid most of the toys on market. this is fun 🤩
8:21 'to a certain *degree*'… hehehe… burnt fingers… hot temperature… I feel like there had to have been a better way to make that joke. And as I was typing this, my cat was watching my fingers move the way he'd watch a toy he was vaguely interested in… my mom refuses to buy any cat toys other than little balls, which makes it kind of difficult for me to engage in play with them because if I want to get them chasing after the balls I have to go pick up the ball which kind of interrupts the flow and gets them disinterested? So guess why I'm here, watching this video, other than because I've been religiously watching every episode of My Cat From Hell and I finally finished the last episode so now I'm moving on to youtube for more of his videos.
you can't even use the phrase., "I'm not crafty" LOL Great ideas.
I have made a self activated perpetual mobile for my kitten, which can allso be used with me as an activator. It is a stuffed mouse on a cord After several steps, now I hung a bicycle pocket tool hanging from the ceiling on an elastic band for the weigh, about half a pound, from this tool hangs the mouse on a hemp cord. He can make the thing move and the double pendulum moves far more erratic than a single pendulum, Now he can do an endless variation of games, when he subdues his mouse the mouse is still active because of the weigh of the tool moving and the elastic band pulling, so he can wrestle his toy pushing it to the ground, Yesterday I allso added a sock a bit higher, which he can jump to, and hang on its fore paws, Now hi is pullng the mouse away and let go and then while the sock flies into the air jump and catch sock, anything goes!!
I really enjoyed this video, howe ver my kitten is too savage and is gonna rip off the things even if they're glued XD
Awesome, I have to try 😊
Great idea, feed your cat polyester socks.
I do a lot of cutting for crafts that I do. My cat loooooves crumbled up paper and card stock clippings.
If anyone still checking the comments for suggestions & "I really need this" my cat needs a caterpillar toy or something that looks or acts like one. But she eats string so I can't use string. Ideas?
Before I understood what decline was 20 years ago my oldest cat was declawed. I always felt guilty because some of these toys he couldn't grab because his paws couldn't grab easily. You briefly mentioned about putting toys vertical and I realized that he would be able to pull food or other toys out from the little cylinders. For any cat older disabled somehow having difficulty using their paws this would be a great idea. Anytime you want to think about the dexterity you can think of this type of a vertical toy rather than horizontal and if you want to show some examples in the future I bet that would be really helpful to some of us owners who didn't know what we were doing when we made them disabled. I have felt so guilty for all these tens of years and this makes me feel a lot better as he's entering his Twilight anyhow. Thank you Jackson for being a good friend to owners and cats. 😘
My boyfriend adopted a kitten today and I’m planning to make cat toys for her
Hopefully it’ll go well
I’ll try to make a few things for my boyfriends pet bunny too, but a lot more of those are just like destroy immediately so I’ll probably just send willow twigs from my yard
