My kitty would not leave my side, lap, chest you name it. I think she thought I was her mom. I ended up being hospitalized for over 8 months. When I came home k so looked forward to our old snuggle seshs. Unfortunately boots wants nothing to do with sitting/sleeping on humans which is totally opposite of what she was before. Really hoping it’s a teenage thing. First pet, any advice to establish that old bond/relationship?

I’ve had my cat for just over a year now and I’m sure that my lap is a no go. She’s a stray that was taken in by an owner with very energetic kids. I’m sure she’s traumatized. She rarely comes in the living room when humans are there, won’t come around when there’s noise. She’ll sit in the hallway but run away when I get up from the couch. BUT, she still lets me love on her and even nap with her when I come in her space so I’ll take what I can get. Lol.
