This game was easy achievements to unlock
This is a of the worst game I ever play. This game sucks
If they ever do a sequel a lot has to change imo. There was no reason to water down the predator gameplay from knight into whatever this is. Just copy knight. Copy the gliding from knight for both robin and batgirl, make nightwing traverse similar to catwoman in the arkham games but make it less feminine and more acrobatic and scrap the combat. Lean into the weapons idea and make it similar to say ghost of tsushima but change the parry timing based on the length of the character's weapon. The longer the weapon the more time you have to parry but the slower the attacks and the more damage you do with melee. Its not a bad game and a few tweaks could have made it great.
What makes this a live service game? It’s like calling god of war, horizon forbidden west, Spider-Man 2 live service games
The way the crimes work where you could interrogate a criminal to get info on a larger crime the next night was such a good concept that if you put in something like Spider-man it would be so cool.
Always thought it was weird that this was the game that wasn’t connected to Arkham since this would’ve actually made a lot of sense within the Arkham continuity to have the Bat-Family take over after Batman’s apparent death in Arkham Knight. Suicide Squad actually seems like the game that should’ve been its own universe since the goal is to literally kill the justice league. I mean they’re introducing the Arkhamverse Justice League in that game and not only does the Batman inclusion make little sense but killing the Arkham version of the Justice League in their debut game seems like such a missed opportunity. The Arkham continuity is so beloved and killing any member of the league will probably lead to backlash. I mean Suicide Squad is already getting hated on heavily and then killing let’s say Green Lantern or Flash would feel like a disservice to the character. Imagine an Arkhamverse Flash or Superman game. Imagine an Arkhamverse Justice League games. All of these would probably be more hyped than what we’re actually getting from DC games these days.
I just tried playing this game on PS5. Felt slow sluggish the controls somehow didn’t match the game play. The controls are slippery and fast but the movement didn’t match. It wasn’t very hard even on the hardest mode.
I wished they added team takedowns and double takedowns

Game was clearly meant to be a looter type game, probably extremely similar to marvels avengers (which i really think at least gameplay and story wise is better than this) but they switched it to like an open world – spiderman type of game, only it does everything way worse than spiderman.

I'm really glad this game was added to PS Plus. Definitely gonna try it. I know what to expect, to an extent, so my experience should be a positive balance.
Just started playing and its definitely a slow start but fudge it gets fun later on once you start playing it like an RPG. managing your build to target your enemies weakness and gear mods. Its pretty cool
Skipped this at launch because of terrible reviews , just got it on playstation plus , haven't started it yet tho .

On subject of the ripple effect of Marvel Avengers failure will be felt by suicide squad kill the justice league the most.
I didn’t mind seeing Batman die in the beginning. You almost thought there was some hope for him being alive.

I HATED Batman’s death the second time and it absolutely ruined the ending for me.
Let it go man it's just an average game.
I’d give it a 5, or maybe a 6, out of 10. I enjoy playing it but there are too many shortcomings for it to be considered a good game.

The combat is way too simple, stealth is barely there, there is very little mission variety, and they are super repetitive, the traversal is terrible, the story is boring and predictable, the Court of Owls was wasted, the characters are boring cliches with no twist, we don't go very in deep with any of the characters and any conflict between them gets solved immediately, this game is mediocre and average at best, I think even the Avengers game did it a little better
Been playing it a week on Game Pass and it’s….. fine. I Like the narrative and the interior of the buildings

I felt it was okay I didn't love it but I liked a lot of aspects marvels avengers kinda just I wanted these both to be better than they were but this is better than avengers. the parts I liked about gotham knights were the Batgirl parts I think they wanted to make a batgirl game with maybe robin or nightwing as I feel the game really wants to be a 2 superhero game but got forced into the live service model and had to include 4 playable characters. I go back and forth on the story I thought the mystery was interesting but the payoff was fucked up and they didn't stick the landing in my opinion.
One year later man time flys
Never finished it, due to the 30fps on the console. My pc could run it at 60fps now so I might buy it since it's on sale right now. but it's just a shame, because I really at least liked the gameplay and combat.
Great one year later retrospective here. I really wanted this game to be good and I think it ended up disappointing for all the reasons you said, especially that it started development as a live service. I believe it was that foundation that led to it, not having a performance mode on consoles and running really bad on PC too. Just a shame all the way around and I hope the team recovers and puts out a game we know they are capable of.
I refuse to play it. Because it doesn't have 60fps. And the fortunate thing is, I do want to play It.
