One of the most on point reviews I've listened to, awesome game, love it. Yes I've seen better and play better (not many). But still a kick-ass game that I enjoyed playing and replaying. Throughout the whole game I was looking for all the characters from the movie to pop up sooner or later, this game followed a pretty close interpretation of the movie story 👍🏾

It’s nowhere near a perfect game and it does have its flaws but at the same time it it’s a gigantic smile on your face the same way they did with Terminator: Resistance.
it's a great game but two annoying things stand out
1) Shooting all the lights out doesn't stop the bad guys seeing you.
2) I can pick up a 300kg bike but can't pick up a guy wearing body armour
I guess if robocop had to climb a mile high tower to map another chunk of vast flat and boring open world the task in itself would take at least 20hours then they'd be happy😅
Just a tip – stop begging for subscribers and advertising your patreon in the start of your videos. It's not a great way to start a video, begging for people for money and subscribers. It's a huge turnoff. This game was a fan club game. That's why it got the praise it did from the fans. As a non-fan, I found it to be quite mediocre and bland.
Subscribed after playing Terminator Resistance and watching your review for that. Phenomenal experience concerning Terminator. I loved every minute of it and nearly pissed myself during the first level "against" the T800s. These reviewers are not reviewers. Rather, they are gatekeepers of their ridiculous and horrible agendas.
Just beat the game. It was worth every single penny! I had a blast and only hope for DLC down the road. It's my personal GOTY for me this year.

These developers didn't pay bribes, or the game is not just politically interesting, so media have no reason to promote it. I just finished a 10 part gameplay series on my own channel, and I absolutely loved it. I'm also an old old school Robo fan, having been 12 when it released. It was the 80's don't judge my parents lol.
This game rocks. on my extreme difficulty playthrough now. Would love to see a "new game plus" option as well as a "waves" style mini game. I wouldve liked an exta stage or 2 to smash more baddies. But for what we got I would give it an A-

Unfortunately there’s clicks & likes to be found by being a contrarian. See a good game lately? One that’s folks are positive about? Just wait. The “I’m no shill cos I tell truth to power” & the “I speak my mind, I’m edgy & not like those other channels” creators will be along real soon. Being a downer on things other people like is practically a cottage industry. I’ve seen a fair few reviews from folks that clearly haven’t a clue about the source material short of a cursory google search. This is why everyone should just wait for user reviews or stick to one reviewer you trust. Honestly I’d hate to have to review games especially one I’m looking forward to. Handed it in pre-patch state, pushed to finish by a schedule & making games your work just drains any enthusiasm. I too might be a tad dismissive if I’d been forced to cram the Platinum trophy, make constant notes while maybe not feeling like it etc then post my opinion & wait for the hate mail & death threats. I guess a lot of folks think that reviewing games is a plum job but too much of a good thing etc.
I find it funny that a game actually succeeds at being a game for once and it's being criticized for not being more of a political statement. As a resident of lawless CA I'd gladly welcome more cops like the ones in this game, robo or otherwise. I'm loving this game too.
Some have no clue about the source material. I was loving the game (until a glitch), & the slower movement, which makes total sense with a weighty robot that large. Common sense, ye journalists! I just hope this gets patched on PS5 soon. I struggled to put this aside (for now). But 2 glitches prevented me from moving on, where I wasn't able to open doors in the Search for Soot story quest, as no Enter indicator would show up by the door. Hopefully this gets patched, as I was LOVING this game.

I think a big problem is that people hear a score like 6 or 7 out of 10 and immediately think that means it's a bad game. 6 means good game 7 means great. This game is great and for RoboCop fans it would be excellent.

Not being able to crouch or go prone isn't lore accurate. Robocop can do both.
However, I get why they did this, and it makes perfect sense from a game design perspective.
Robocop's shooting is deliberately similar to an aim trainer or on rails lightgun style game.
The devs took that element away to force the player out of trying to treat it as a cover shooter. To make them realize that Robocop himself is the cover, and that you're supposed to walk into the line of fire to a certain degree.
They knew that given the option to crouch behind cover, players would use it to conserve health and optimize the fun out of the game. They would give up the feeling of being Robocop the game provides by trying to minimize damage intake. The devs very deliberately took this option away by not allowing that kind of movement.
Yes, you do need to avoid being overwhelmed and blindly walking into a killbox for heavy weapons, but you're not supposed to spend the game at 100% health all the time. Health is all over the place, and is even more manageable with perks in the vitality skill.
Robocop's 20% health is as much as most FPS character's full health bar, and that's by design.
