The rumor mill has been filled with talk about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, and today at the end of its Unpacked event where it unveiled the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, Samsung has teased it.
But it’s called Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. It’s been quite a while since the company used the Edge name, but now it’s back. Or it will be, later this year. The Edge will be very thin, and it will have only two rear cameras.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to arrive in May, so presumably it will get official at some point before that. Based on what’s been leaked so far, expect this to be a thinner Galaxy S25+ with one less camera and way less battery capacity.
Price-wise it should slot in between the S25+ and S25 Ultra. It will be interesting to see just how much people care about marginal gains in thinness, and also how the S25 Edge’s sales performance will be compared to the upcoming iPhone 17 Air, which is apparently even thinner – but with more compromises, like a single rear camera.
