Heads up for those who dont know once you drop off the first ledge, there is no going back and the sites of grace for fast travel become locked out. It makes you finish the tunnel. I went in at level 26 and had to die and collect my runes over and over until about level 35, before I was able to get out of this cave without dying. I left and came back to get the dragon when i was around level 50 I think. But the armor and weapons i colected while i was stuck were a nice upgrade for the level i was at the time i was able to get a full set of the guards armor and their shield and all 3 of their weapons and the pick axe before i escaped. For the level i was it was good armor, ive found better since then but at level 25. was a pain to excape with out dying. So i just kept going back to my one grace point over and over to refill my flask and level up till i could get to the end.
This is silly because I've done it before but cant remember the layout but theres the stonedigger with the fire pick and hes killed me 3 times. I can't fast travel out but I cant beat him. I'm a level 37 samurai with a +4 katana. Like wtf

Lol the boss literally hit you every time, and you still defeated him. This is not a guide on how to do this boss if you"re lower level.
