This game didn’t feel finished for me. Idk how to explain it but I think another year would’ve fixed these issues and the gameplay
Man I started playing the game then it dumped me in the open world and had me do all this dumb shit on my first mission and after I went thru the menu and I just stopped playing there. Maybe I’ll pick it up later but the rpg elements are just not it. There’s a reason why Arkham is so beloved, idiotic to abandon that

The gear system is a mess.. mod chips and gear sets are confusing to me

Nothing on this game stands out, the combat is clunky to the point ground level enemies fight and maneuver better than your character most the time, especially the drone people they can power the drone and dip 100% of your hits most the time, I've spent way too long chasing them around and hitting air, the boss battles are rigged and the controls aren't responsive at times it just makes you take the hit, the bat scooter is slow to the point it dulls out if your on it for long periods of time, the travel moves at a pace so slow it barely feels like I'm going anywhere, the boss battles are more tedious than fun and it looks like that put more effort into the people you interact with than the ones you play imo, the mod and suit system is difficult to understand, most the enemies have decent combo attacks but you'll spend most the time dodging and get a hit in then back to defense, and even though you level everybody up at the same time you'll still lose gear if you don't play all the characters and still have to play them and redo challenges to unlock special perks, plus you gotta shuffle back and forth around a button before the prompt comes up to interact but other than that, it's a game lol 4/10 because the lights look cool, even the faces look lifeless during cutscenes or talking with the allied characters in the game during side quests lol I'm beating the game but I don't think I'll play it when I'm done, get it on sale or wait for Hogwarts legacy 💪
In game camera for me was hell, I'd usually get into combat and the camera would be up close I'd get hit in the back so many times, the rest I really enjoyed despite the optimization issues

I’m disappointed in the game but for some reason I keep coming back to it to play. I know it isn’t the best, not even close but I still look forward to playing it. Weird.
Well said about the combat. I think with some fine tuning it has the potential to exceed the Arkham games

I apreciate an unbiased reveiw like this. based on most other people's i was initialy going to avoid this game like the plauge.
The lack of in-depth stealth is also a big gripe for me. Shame they didn't implement a deeper system for that.

I go on about this but honestly I’m playing this game scratching my head, thinking I don’t get it. It’s a highly enjoyable open world superhero game, with more freedom to approach situations using stealth then the recent Spiderman games.. or the Arkham games.
