I loved the old baldurs gate games. Grew up on them. This was not a Baldur's gate game imo.
How is it a classic RPG ^^. It is not, it is a triple A game with a beautiful engine and nothing in common with the classic games. It's pretty but as deep as a puddle.

6. No risk takes on the companions story, that’s bad

8. No relation to the old series (which is better at any point)

Ppl complaining about missing attacks is just so funny to me, it’s not like the games hiding how it works, or hiding your percentage to hit or doesn’t have gear and builds that basically make you never miss… it’s not that hard to figure out how to use mechanics to your advantage, it really isn’t. I kinda get it I guess, most ppl are used to pushing one button and never missing, it’s just sad, the combat is so fucking good when you actually bother to learn about the systems in game.

Yes, it really really is that good. Not a perfect game, and the final act isn't as good as the first one, but man oh man, this may very well be the best RPG of all time.

I love this game so much, but i'm not blind to its downsides.
Personally, the main story was very enjoyable, but what was even more of a welcome surprise were the companions and their stories. I was so into it and they felt so real it blew my mind.
That said, i have an issue with the main story ending and the fact there is basically no ending for the companions stories.
Other than that, the inventory, the fact you can't ask your team members to do an ability check mid-narration or mid-dialogue and no 6 party members were my biggest gripes.

I have a few issues with this game, first of all and I know this isn't the game's fault but the scale. Unltimately I think there are only like 3 or 4 major sections that you visit throughout the game, but well fair enough this is a more linear game. Second is the story itself, I don't care for it, and it's quite repetitive.
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR BOTH THIS GAME AND THE FIRST TWO BALDUR'S GATES
I'm not a diehard fan of these games, they're just not for me but from what I've seen of their stories, they tend to revolve around the sword coast and Baldur's Gate, with both the Protagonist and major antagonists being Baalspawn, and the bad guys usually want to kill a large population. Which already doesn't make me care for this game. The next point about the story, it's all there is, sure there's SOME side content but it all largely revolves around this story, most of the minor antagonists work for the 'Absolute' or have something to do with them at some point or another, and there's not really anything to do once you've beaten them. Also Larian aren't planning any DLC for this game, so there will never be anything beyond what we have now.
Next up is the rather lackluster selection of companions, I'll start with the ones I like, Wyll is fine, he doesn't have the most interesting personality but he more than makes up for it with his conflict. Also I like Karliah, nice personality, conflict, and design. Astarian, see Karliah's points. And that's… it pretty much. Also, no dragonborn or Half-orc companions, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure there's a Dragonborn Bard in the Dark Urge story that fits all the criteria for a companion, but apparently the reason for this is that the Dragonborn and Half-Orcs were added late in the developement of the game, so make of that what you will. Next up, the followers I don't care for, Shadowheart is boring and vague, all she ever says is "I don't trust [Blank]" or "I don't want to talk about myself" I would say more but there's just nothing to tell. Next, Gale, fuck this guy, and not in the way he wants you to, he's an active burden, is so annoying, and his backstory is by far the most stupid and ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
I'm 86 hours in and haven't had a single crash… I also use the Vulkan API, which is appearently the less stable version compared to DX11. The game runs fine, I have an economy card (RTX 3060) and I have maxed out the settings.
The whining about "woke" stuff means nothing to me in a game where you have the freedom to be senselessly evil and sadistic.

BG3 is a great game but also far overrated. It has so many problems. Did two playthroughs and each one had sooooo many bugs it was unreal. Act 3 was unfinished and garbage. Act 2 was extremely lacking in combat encounters and felt dull and lifeless to explore. Didn’t care for the companions much because most of their stories were omg this sad and bad stuff happened to me 🥺. Just straight up exposition dumping tragic writing. Didn’t care for all the x rated stuff and romance and every single character being bi and wanting to do you. It felt nothing like a proper Baldur’s Gate game. No 6 party members, no RtWP, no formation options because formation hardly even mattered. It was beyond easy difficulty wise even on tactician/honor mode.

Just finished my honor mode playthrough with friends and I gotta say bg3 has been one of my favorite games of all time.
FYI from "that guy" with 2k+ hours in BG3. Make your main 8 levels Swords Bard, 4 levels Gloomstaker Ranger or Thief with the extra bonus action and focus on dual crossbows. (See any of the multiple build guides). HOT: Do Grimforge, then the gith creche, but after the creche, go back to Grimforge and access the shadowlands via the elevator. This way you can run into harpers, help the harpers, find the safe spot in the shadow curse lands, help the harpers do an ambush, get a moonlatern; make a good choice to free with what is inside the lantern and get immunity to the shadow curse early in act 2.
Don't understand the achievement issue, as I have multiple playthroughs, four with friends, and if it wasn't a character-specific achievement (Bard earning 100 gold), everyone unlocked all the major achievements. Including Honor mode with three people <3. Like 9/10 of your videos, including this one <3
