A lot of people don't realize that they are going for the og mario from Brooklyn like they did with the super Mario super show back in the day. It wasn't hight pitched. I like what Pratt has done so far. To be honest I love Charles martinet. Growing up with his voice for mario but listening to that high pitched mario voice the whole movie, to me , would be mind numbing. Also I don't think it would fit in with the rest of the voices everyone is ok with.

I for one am very glad for the Donkey Kong change and still don't think it goes far enough. I always hated Rare's CGI redesign for Donkey Kong Country, and much prefer the original version drawn by Miyamoto.
