I love this pieces of shit you leave it alone
I´ve just finished the game on normal and some of the parts were, indeed, really tedious. Tho I could see some ways how to make it at least somewhat enjoyable.
1) Adjust the damage of some weapons and enemies. The small bugs melt me in seconds but the bigs ones don´t do nearly anything unless in huge numbers. MK versions needed to be buffed, especially the one with a shotgun attachement that practically did nothing.
2) Starting the mission with more weapons/weapons from previous missions would be also beneficial since in some cases, if you miss shotgun/MK with machine gun attachement and especially rocket launcher/railgun that is hidden somewhere, you are basically done for.
3) Is it really that hard to balance the sound effects, voices and music? Audio is pretty messed up. But I guess it can´t take that much effort to fix it.
Overall, this game needed at least one major patch that would adress these issues or a decent mod. With that, It could be quite enjoyable since nothing beats railing through 10 bugs at once or firing 20 rockets in a quick succession the the plasma bug face.
i think Starship Troopers was a Fantastic film! i think the issue is those satirical commercials, which is based on fashism and the film is loosly based on a functional fashist regime being somewhat successful. This isn't understood by the audience so like a ten year old people go this movie sux lol. it takes one cheezy scene for the haters to hate, so sad
OK, EVERYBODY !! I got this game a day ago. Its FANTASTIC !! No trouble with Keys board resets, runs smooth as shit. Looks Fantastic. I had NO trouble with other players, we all worked together. IT'S A BLAST !

The nostalgia of Starship troopers for a generation is what I think makes it so great. It’s a really good movie made great by the fact that I was obsessed with it as a young kid in the late 90’s.

I actually LOVE the Starship Troopers movie franchise, particularly the first movie. And while the game itself may be meh in general, it isn't as bad as people are saying; it still has its moments, though I do agree that the game would be more fitting if it was a squad based game…
I wouldn't say that the game is quite as bad as you say from a technical perspective, but I agree 100% that it is painful and ultimately a huge chore to have to keep replying segments of the game that you die 124387243987324 times in and then still have so many more of these brutally cheap and unfair sections, like the sniper bugs on the walls, those fucking asshoels that blind you and then BAM, those small cunts that blast you with plasma energy and wipe you out in 0,00003 seconds flat, all in one encounter! FUCK!!! Otherwise, it's not too bad.

I assume the "horde of enemies with no slowdown" is because they have no collision detection, which is why you'll see them pile into one another.
