Watching you do this training has given me hope for the new dog in my home. I had become terrified of walking her as she is so reactive.
Both my childhood dogs passed away in December (one was 20 and it was her time to go and the other had liver failure) I am 23 and am planning on getting the first dog that I’ll be 100% solely responsible for as my parents were responsible for my dogs growing up. I am watching all your videos and taking notes as I loved my dogs but growing up they weren’t the best trained and I want to do everything in my power to train and care for my new dog properly before I get them. I have nothing in place yet to get a dog but when I do I’ll be ready thanks to you 🙂

What about jumping in the house when they are not wearing a lead?
What about by yourself sitting down?
Teach active engagement, I want my dog jumping all over me. I guess this is ok for a pet not a working dog.

Eight month old Malinois in a week already know he’s a jumper will be watching this great video a few more times .
I know! Just like everyone else people think it’s cute when he jumps up but he’s a big dog and I’m afraid someone will get hurt. Where I live now the people here are aware we are trying to teach him some manners but he’s gotten better but he’s still afraid of everything as he’s was in a shelter his whole life be4 us and it’s taken over a year to get him to be a dog.
The fact he’s wearing light colored outfit in a muddy weathergives me anxiety 😝

How can I fix this without a slip lead?
Love your training info re dog pulling on lead. I have a Maltese, and from what I’ve read, slip leads shouldn’t be used on these very small dogs. What’s your opinion please ?
This is wrong , correction by pulling leash, it will create negativity to leash and anxiety to stay with you, this is not leadership by pulling and correcting..
