I loved it. The melee is addictive once you get a hang of it. It's not scary but neither was resident evil 4.
Was excited for this game but thankfully I didnt preorder it. The game mechanic looks meh. The dodging is atrocious. It does look like its not a horror game but gore action game with some jump scares.
I watched Gladd play it and he uninstalled it on stream as the game frustrated him
Look I think that all the depts in this game are amazing. Except the people who designed the way the bosses and hoard systems work in tandem with a melee focus in mind. (add in custom control mapping for console, I accidentally swung clicking “Rt” trying to instinctively hip-fire its insane.) I guess Jacob doesnt know how to just pull the trigger without aiming…
Boss fights are wayyyy too fast paced, two head is just a little too quick or Jacob is too slow, I honestly dont know. Its not scary or challenging to punish the players by making me die 20x in a row.
-Give me more weapon bases and remove the exchange feature on ur guns. (no need to ask for faster holstering or anything now that a whole animation is removed)
-Let me craft bulk amounts of ammo…
-More backtracking, let me EXPLore lol
-Lastly, If I’m pressing dodge in a horde let me just dodge anyone who just me like a crazy person, at this point I cannot say that I enjoy fighting 4-6 plus enemies at once.
I personally give it a 6.5 out of 10, because the only thing I like is the visuals and story. The gameplay kinda sucks, and honestly would've been better in first person with no melee combat. More guns could definitely be more enjoyable, like Alien Isolation or RE7/8
