Thanks for the honest review. You look at the games the same why i do. Dialogue isn’t that important ina game. Gameplay and fun factor are important to me. Unless the dialogue is specific for combat, I.e. use attack A here, like you, it’s background noise.
This game definitely isn't a bad game. I finally got it and its alot better than I thought its would be. Yeah it has some problems but all games do none are perfect. Its a great role playing game. The world is huge and there are many types of terrains. The enemies are fun to fight and alot better than I thought they would be. As for Frey I really like her personality it dosent bother me too much.I mean she not the nicest, buts that's her personalty, and she shows a lot of remorse and dose have a good heart there.When she gets beat up by the gang it was so realistic, she was really getting beat down, and the way she is thrown in to Athia some of her reactions were funny, The dialogue isn't to bad I never felt anything was to cringe like all the reviews are saying . One thing I will say is the NPC'S they could have done a better job with them, they reused alot of them. its very bad. The combat is fun hands down, just take getting use too, and traveling the world with magic parkour is fun, and the world is huge. This game is not a bad game, its not perfect, but I cant say its bad.
Why do people say toxic and toxicity all the time, it literally means nothing whatsoever, can't you have a personal dialectic, so when you talk, people say, oh yeah this is how saiyaran talks, instead of, he talks like every other borg member, assimilated.

I honestly have respect for what this game is and the aesthetic, just not my cup of tea gameplay wise so I definitely wouldn’t pay the standard Triple A price for it

I almost plantinum this game. Frey is not even cringe. I like her more then Aloy from HFW. She giving positive energy in the end of the game .I want sequel for this game. This game have potential. Imagine floating island. So we can parkour on high place. And need more seaish place coz i barely use her glide thing on the water.
All I see are complaints about the dialog. If you can get through 10 seconds of Naruto, you can get through this game.

The gameplay took a little while to get used to but now I'm enjoying the heck out of it. I got the game as a gift with some Playstation gift cards so I wasn't too worried about the price. But I would totally wait until it goes on sale for sure.
I'm at the end of the game and I honestly loved it. There were some things that I didn't like about it but they were just minor things but overall the gameplay was fun as hell and the story wasnt bad either. The ending even had a plot twist which was nice
I think when it comes to the story Forspoken is a unique case, just like its combats, the story is unique and operated on certain themes.
The story overall tries not to shove Frey’s trauma down your throat, you are only given hints here and there, story bests, “I don’t trust people”, “I was abandoned by mom and foster parents”, “People only do nice things because they want something from you”, the death between Olevia and Frey is meant to feel off, it’s because Frey is trauma bonded to Olevia, the only reason she cares about her is because Olevia reminds her of herself. The story showcases other aspects of this Trauma seeping out, from her inherent distrust, her nightmares about people leaving her/not feeling she’s up for the task, her getting mad at anyone implying she’s a hero, her general low self esteem and view of herself, and her snap at Auden which is a classic case of a trauma response where the individual emotionally withdraws and regresses, shutting themselves down. Frey as a character doesn’t step into her role, till that trauma wound is addressed by her mother, in that moment she makes that important choice.
Runs great on PS5. Forspoken has a slow start but it's gets really fun as you get deeper into it. Parkouring while slinging spells is awesome fun. Seems like hating on this game is the cool kid thing to do so everyone's hating.

Ey man, I get what you're saying. If you love the game, then nothing stopping you.
But, after doing some research on the humans, I've realized that all the hate this game is getting is actually legit criticism. People don't hate this game because "Minority" or "Woman", they just think the game overall is just bad.
Heck, one of my favorite games is one of the worst games of all time: "Sonic 2006" and I don't care if people hate it because I understand why everyone hates this game.
Edit: I forgot to say that, yes, I've played the game. And it wasn't fun, it was boring and too generic. But I'm glad at least YOU like it.
Why does everyone hate Forsepoken? First of all not everyone hates it but to answer the question: Thats easy to answer in 5 reasons:
1)PC port is unoptimized shit. The spec requirement are insane. PS5 version resolution drops to 720p & inconsisten framerate.
2)The main character has zero character progression and is insufferable , obnoxious, selfish, mean spirited, and acts like a narcissist most of the time. Hell, in one scene, she dogs on her female friend who just lost her father, telling her she doesnt give a shit about this world; then with (and this goes to point 2 above) in another scene, she completely has a change of heart towards said world which was never shown. Just terrible writing. How are players supposed to get behind a main character when she's an asshole
3)the dialogue is edgy cringe. I though Strangers of Paradise, Genesis talking in Crisis Core, the voice acting in Type Zero, Star Ocean 4 cringe and DmC Devil May Cry was bad but this at time reall fights for top level cringe
4) The world looks barren and uninteresting. Feels like FF XV dumped assets
5) Story is super predictable
