Great vid! I’ve also been having issues with my 10 month pup pulling like a demon when we are out for walks and she’s sees any of her other doggie friends. Pulling like a sled dog and whining after spotting them from like a block away. Do you have any vids covering exercises for that by chance?
Thanks for sharing this information ℹ️
This dog is so adorable 🥰🥰🥰
Can you send me Marta?
My dog is 4 months old, our neighbour showed us this trick and he stopped jumping on people
I literally just tried this and it works!!! I have a one year old 8lb. maltipoo and it clicked on the third try of walking back to our “x” spot.
This is so incredibly helpful! I have a 6 month old cattle dog x who is an absolute sweetheart and so smart. His impulse control when it comes to loving, including jumping on visitors has been our biggest training challenge. I cant wait to put this into practice! THANK YOU!
Our originally 50-60lbs hound mix, according to the rescue we adopted her from, is now 100lbs. When we figured out she was gonna be bigger than they assumed, we knew we had to teach her not to jump. Plus, it's just good manners. We took a thin lead, like you'd use for a puppy and kept it attached to her collar. We cut the loop off so she wouldn't get it caught on anything. Then when people came over or we came home, we would step on it like the handler did in the video. She learned pretty quickly. Now she doesn't jump up on people. If she gets really excited she does a 'bunny hop' where her front paws may leave the ground by a couple of inches.
I have a very hyper 8 month Goldendoodle who is 80 lbs. I’m 5ft and only 105 lbs. He just drags me. He’s so much stronger than pulling back the leash doesn’t even help. Lord help me that I can train him since my husband won’t allow me to put our pup in a training camp for 3 weeks for $1,500 😩 I’m on my own.
I have done all of this with my puppy and she is still jumping. She just doesn't think when she gets excited.
No so easy with a 150 1 year old
I appreciate you!!!
how do you stop jumping when youre on a walk and strangers dont have time to stand around for training sessions? also what if your dog just keeps pulling and jumping at the other dog walkers no matter what you do?
That is such a great instructional video. We are off to practice. That you so much.
Does this same method work with a 4lb puppy that is 11 weeks old? Curious if their size requires an alternative method. Thanks!
So how is this repeatable?
The mini Aussiedoodle i recently acquired turns out to be deaf ( white fur blue eyes) so my training of her is a bit more challenging since she can’t respond to verbal commands.
I am going to try this. I have a 4 year old olde English bulldog his last owner did not teach him not to jump up and he wants to greet everyone. some don`t like it and get mouthy at me so I get angry at them and get mouthy back which is not good for anyone so I am going to try this for sure

How do you do that when you don’t have a partner to help you?
How to train my dog to stop chasing people?
Very long video with few helpful tips. Get to the point quicker.
🙏THANK YOU!
Now to find a video how to not jump on me first—
My dog is so hyper and excited to meet people and dogs I’m not sure it will work unless I have a person help me. Will give it a try. Thanks.
I love your tips… thank you!
My dog jumps on the back of my legs when I walk to the door to walk him. He doesn’t jump on me any other time. We’ve tried stopping him for the past 4 years of adopting him and he’s 5. Any suggestions how to stop him? Thank you.
I absolutely need to try this with my nearly 5month Collie. Fantastic advice again
What about when people come up to your dog if you are sitting down. How would you stop the jumping up in that scenario?
What are we supposed to do at home when guests come in?
How do I do this by myself when it's me my dog wants to jump on?
Hi! Your videos are great and I have been watching so many. We just got a 10 month old puppy and he was going in the house and in. Less the. A week we have gotten him to stop by the guidance of these great videos. We are currently working on bitting and I have a question. He is learning to play and when I get the long rope toy away from him he grabs at my end hitting my hand. I’m not really sure what I should I be doing in this to correct the behavior. I’ve watch almost all of your bitting videos and haven’t seen this unique behavior shown. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for these videos they are really helpful and informative.
This is the Best video I have seen regarding my pup's behaviour…
Thank you so much!!!
Good day. How to i teach my pup to stay at home? She has severe seperation anxiety?
As the weather is getting colder, would you mind doing a video on advice about how to walk your dog in cold weather? Are dog boots a good idea or not? How would you train your dog to be comfortable with them, if you think they are good? 🙂
