I’ll never watch or listen to a review by yourself again, this has been the worst experience with a game I’ve ever had.
IGN, you really should have a look at the contrast between this review and reviews of the game by customers. Even recent reviews present the game still as being a buggy mess. Is there something you missed in your testing?
Pretty much a commercial for MSFS not a objective review
Most of the bug complaints I see are from people on console. I haven’t played this game yet, but every-time people say it’s “buggy” or “performance issues” or “crashes” on launch, it works perfectly fine on my PC. I honestly think this is just a heavy game to render, it’s built for PC like most GPU intensive games and not console. Console software sucks. I run a GeForce 2070 Super and that’s still enough, came out in 2019. Buy a better PC.

Honestly this game is not great compared to the previous game. They focused on all the wrong aspects, visited my hometown in Arizona and jeez the detail is horrendous! Even more odd artifacts in the middle of the roads, trees and water where they don’t exist. 2020 had better graphics and details on the maps. And as far as flight goes, even now a month after launch its glitchy with certain aircraft. Then there’s the helicopters you still can’t fly, they take off but as soon as you move forward the helicopter noses up on its own and you can’t get very far from where you took off.

The game world is too small it's the same size as the real world so it's easy to explore everything and it's too soon to fly from one side to the other, so they should procedurally generate new oceans and terrain and new continents and add new cities. 😄

So far for me its a 6/10. If MS works out all the little problems, Ill like it more. I have it on xbox and Ill admit I have run into limited bugs. But there are three things thats a turn off for me. First, it definitely feels more like an arcade style when you're flying as opposed to a simulator. Some of the planes handle like an F22 when obviously they shouldnt.
Next is the over vegetation. I visited areas Ive been to in real life (like where I used to live up until recently) and theres 5x amount of trees now than there are in person, like if its post apocalypse. That just looks like corner cutting to me. Third is, while I know the game hasnt been out too long, the market place isnt running yet. Sometimes I feel like as a whole with the game, its like I bought a brand new car the week it came out, but it didnt include the steering wheel because it's still being developed
They must have paid you a lot to give this mess a 9. It's at best a 6/10. So many empty promises. 600+ bugs reported. 30% of the career missions still missing 2 months after launch. No marketplace. Communication from MS/Asobo is the worst I have ever seen. Instead of addressing the problems they silence the critics on their forums.
Just look at the trailers and count how many of what was in the trailer is still missing. Without career mode this is just a graphics update from 2020.

I cancelled my membership after my career mode completely broke. They refuse to fix it. The TBM 930 is completely unplayable for me now in career mode, wasted a ton of money on it, cant even use it. Been like that for over a month. So yea, I am done. I cancelled and moving onto other games.

My PC sounds like a real plane now running this game
All the reviews on xbox are just endless loading screens, crashes and the game just outright broken, half of them paid for the aviator edition, this is why I stopped pre-ordering games because nowdays they just release in an utter trash can.
I loaded the game on Series S for nearly an hour, loaded into career which took 10-15mins to load, chose location, waited another 10-15mins for that to load, got a 3 second cutscene and then got another loading screen, like wtf lmao, the game on xbox is just load screen simulator

No serious simmer would give this a 5 much less a 9. MSFS2020 is finally a 8 or 9 and it took 4 yrs and dozens of 3rd party add-ons to get there.
Your review sounds like a press release from Microsoft. Even the word "digital twin" has been taken out of their mouth. Have you been invited to the Grand Canyon or are you on a Microsoft ad budget? I cant explain this review otherwise.
I will say msfs2020 was great, I flew a PA-44 in the game. And now I actually got my multi-engine rating in the PA-44.
Trash review. Game is still fresh out of the box and is expected to have issues that will be worked out. Great game and enjoy the hell out of it. Thank you Microsoft for another well made program that I'm using it for a few things in my training.
