⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️HELP!!! I NEED A CAT EXPERT!!!!⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
These cats have been together for a year now!!!
I have a 1 year old male my daughter wanted one for her birthday but we already have a 11 year old female. 🤯 They hate each other. He won't leave her alone. So she basically lives in the basement but she wants to come out sometimes so we have to lock up the male in the attic for a bit to let her out. But she wants to come out at night so she sits in front of the door and looks at me wanting to come out. But the male is there right in her face. I feel bad for keeping her and him locked up when the other one is out. I feel like it's causing them to hate each other more. What do I do??? Keep the door open and just let them fight it out?? She has a spot in the basement rafters she can still get away from him. What do I do???? Help me please. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love how sparky’s picture is just a blur
What about when the 2 cats have been together for 2 years, and one has become red level aggressive towards the other for no reason.
Lol with the blind date analogy!! 😹😻 Jackson is hilarious!!
I have a male cat around 11. He's never really taken to any oets when he was younger, but he's been alone for the last 5 years. My wife and i just brought home a kitten. 5 months old, shes super sweet and extra adventurous. Shes been locked in her room now for a week and a half. When Boots, goes to bed we close to the door and let the kitten roam the house and get acquainted. We've tried feeding them from other side of the doors and boots refuses to touch his food if the bowl is too close to the door. Moving it away he'll bcome around eventually to eat it. I know its at his own pace. I know my older cat if highly food motivated, so ive been able to open the door and feed both the cats a chewy pack together. But the minute they finish he goes back to growling. Twice i tried letting them roam around the house freely with supervision. The kitten roams sround pretty freely, sometimes getting herself cornered by my cat when she enters a room and small space. He always keeps around 5 feet from her and will stalk her watching every movement. His ears pointed forward and growling, very little hissing. If she gets corned i just oick her up and put her back in the room. Ive olayed with both cats separately after and have tried durring lol. I feel like i am the problem. Probably going too fast. Any tips, advice and questions for me are a huge help please. Ever since i let the kitten omout of the room those few times she desperately wants out now but can't since the other cat wont have it. Wife and i are drained. Kitten is scratching and crying like crazy at the door. At night weve played with her enough to go to sleep pretty bsoon after we leave the room . Firdt few nights we slept with her on a blow up mattress.
One of my female cats is deaf and blind at the same time, and the other is male teenage cat , it’s kinda hard to introduce them together cus i can’t make my deaf cat play with toys i tried but she doesn’t like it so i don’t know what kind of activity i would do so they can get along
Came across your chanel and its brilliant!!!! I have an old cat and have introduced a kitten. Obviously that didnt go down well 😂 did the seperation to start with after 3 weeks indie the older cat will accept cookie if she is already on our bed, or spare room bed and cookie lays down and is quiet. When they meet downstairs however that is when cookie leaps at indie with the come on play, much to indies discust where alot of hissing and growling begins. Indie tends to run away or backs into a corner. I have now realised that by cookies body language i can get her toy and she will immediately play leaving indie alone 😅 its hard work 😂 but im sure we will get there 😊
Ultimate it's what I figured, it's the owners getting too concerned about stuff that doesn't matter while not remaining involved in the things that do.
is there any info you have posted on blind cats? Like how to improve their enrichment, ideal toys, introductions to other cats, etc? I would really like to ensure my blind cat has the happiest life.
You are a life saver and great soul, Mr Galaxy!
Thank you for the amazing content and work
I slowly introduced my new cat (4 month old female) to my orange tabby male cat and it did not go well, they ended up fighting really bad and I got scratched up really bad separating them. Now my new cat won't leave my room and is afraid to come out because of my other cat. I don't know what to do. Can someone please help?
So I have a 5 mo old that was found on the streets at roughly 10 weeks (when I got her) and just added an 8 week old whose mama was found on the streets during her pregnancy. Neither one really has any formal kitten training other than my first one with lots of socialization with kitten friends from a young age and my new one being raised by a street mama. I’m a few days in and honestly thought my resident cat would have no problem given how socialized I got her prior, so I didn’t start this until after my resident wasn’t accepting him immediately. So they’ve been eye to eye a bit and seems odd going backward. They can eat on opposite sides of the door and simultaneously play with a glass door in between or when both entertained in a common space. When I allow unstructured space on either side of the glass door, things get odd! Showing signs of wanting to meet and play but then the resident growling and/or hissing. Thoughts? Kitten seems unfazed and will retreat and roll on her back in these times to show submission and then I separate one of them. Open to feedback as I started the program late!
Jackson I have a cat I got from my cousin who was a homeless kitten when she took it in it spent a few months with her other cat and they got quite close she seems loanly and is very playful should I foster a kitten to keep her company she is about a year and three months old
Admitting that your method dont work 100% of the time would make more sense
My elder cat does not play with toys. Not sure what I can do to make them do something in common
The cat tree side by side, the covered litter pan. I recently rescued a tuxedo female to be company for my 4 year old friendly male. She hisses, but he seems confused because he runs up to quickly. It's getting better
Love thi video. Omg i need it…
Thank you for this. Im having to introduce a 7yr old male (who has nevet lived with another cat) and a 14yr old female (no idea of her history up to 8yrs old + not lived with another cat for last 6yrs)…. Im terrified of introducing them as they don't seem to like each other at all from the little visuals they have had of each other so far.
So my older cat is really not food motivated. It was really hard for me to get her to eat near the kitten. Still hard to do tbh, the only thing i am able to make her forget everything about is those Churu tubes, so when she's nice with Comet i give her this. I also have play time with Comet and most of the time Smokie will look at it until she get into it to, then they will sort of play together or rather play with the same toy. Smokie sometimes ,i think, wants to play with the kitten but she can also be a bully where she will follow her everywhere and growl at her. Comet is now sort of scared of her and will hiss and growl back at her. I separate them most of the time unless i am present in the room and can supervise their interactions. It's a little taxing tbh i understand it's only 3 weeks, i hope it will get better soon. Oh and i alternate them in the rooms so they can get used to the scent of one another.
I can't find any advice anywhere on how to introduce a new cat to a blind cat? My new cat is 1 1/2 years old named Penny. I also have a blind cat named Shadow. I found him abandoned when he was 9 weeks old. I had to have his eyes removed to save his life. I can see I put them together to soon. I also have a girl cat named Willow who is 6 years old. She seems to accept Penny. I had a tuxedo cat named Oreo that Shadow grew up with and was best friends but he died a year ago. He was ambushed by a coyote. I could sure use some advice. Robert
Do you think I could still do these things even if my cats have been fighting with each other for about two years now? They don't fight every time they're in the same room, but it does happen at least once or twice a week, and I want to get them to stop fighting!
hi Jay!
i just found your account while looking for solutions for my 2 cats. i moved in with my boyfriend about 4 months ago, he already had a cat and i brought my cat with me. after the first month or so they were really close and playing all the time! sometimes his cat would hiss if he wasnt ready to play but for the most part they loved each other.
a week and a half ago we went on a 4 day trip out of town and when we came back, his cat no longer wants anything to do with mine. if they make any eye contact, his cat starts to growl and hiss before running away. my cat doesnt understand and still tries to chase or play with him like they used to.
for now we are keeping them in separate rooms and swapping them throughout the day. we also have his cat sleeping in the bathroom so they dont mess with each othee while we're asleep and cant watch them.
do you have any suggestions on how to fix this or what you think happened?
thank you!✨️
Soo i have a 1 year old cat who is indoor/outdoor hes a boy (Lucifer) and i just got a 8 week old female kitten (Velma) i did not know the "rules" for introducing cats and i introduced them same day. How do i go back and do it right? Where do I begin? Because my older cat wants to play and my kitten is terrified but keeps going back to him for more and im afraid she will get hurt.
I'm nervous because I'm thinking about rescuing a new kitten and I'm worried how my 5 other cats are going to react i got all 5 of my cats as kittens 2 rescues and 3 from reputable breeders (all different breeds) and within a month of each other so they grew up for basically their whole life together for the past 3 years and act like a "pack" they go and do almost everything in the house togeather they are very close and friendly with each other but im wondering if they wont be so nice to a new kitten. I'm almost wondering if it's a bad idea, tbh. I know this video is old but if anyone sees this and has any advice it would be appreciated.
