My senior cat, has it, and till that exact moment I was delusional it's not his time yet. He gets iron,epo, kidney pills and anti-vomiting shots regulary and it's on a special diet for over a month now,doctor said till kitty has apettite (for renal food only) he will be living happy long life, but let me tell you, cat's don't really like renal food so it's comes and goes and they get nauseous from the toxins

My cat is turning 14 in December and was just diagnosed 4 days ago with early stage kidney disease I would be shocked if she sticks around for 2 more years. I fully expect her to go within a year. As soon as her life quality drops to a noticeable level, it'll be time to let her go. I won't try to extend her life and suffer just because I want her around longer. That just seems so selfish.

Instead of a drug…maybe feed your cats their real diet. They are carnivores and if fed meat and no carbs they would thrive.
I would have to say that the number one problem causing poor health in cats is probably the same for poor health in humans. And that would be related to poor diet. All big name brand cat foods are highly processed junk 'food' for cats, just like all big brand human 'foods' that come packaged in boxes, bags and cans are also unhealthy highly processed garbage – not good for you at all.
Most cat 'foods' contain too many carbs, many toxic filler ingredients and not enough protein. The best diets for cats is raw meat period, including organ meats. That has been the diet they have thrived on for millions of years, and what is probably best for them. As far as humans go, avoid sugars, seed oils and excessive carbs. Eat only real food that is produced by local organic and free range farmers. Avoid all fast 'foods' and in fact, don't eat out at all!
There is no mystery of why cats are getting kidney disease. They are fed a dry diet. Cats get most of their fluids from their food, they’re not big on drinking out of a bowl. So when you feed them dry food, they are going to be chronically and continually, dehydrated. There you go, case solved. So feed your cat canned food and even add a little water to it. Better yet, feed a raw diet. Remember, big Pharma is taking over, they want you to think that your cat needs a supplement or a medication to live. It doesn’t. Feed the right diet and you are 95% of the way there.

I’m curious what makes cats live a longer than average life like my cat Tiger Kitty who lived until 22/23 years old and didn’t pass away from kidney disease. His kidneys were well functioning according to blood work he had recently.
My babys are just 1 year old, so (probably) (or for sure) maybe there will be even a budget friendly vaccine in time for them

dry cat food you were showing is #1 enemy of cats kidneys, but no, you first need to develop this junk and fund nutritionists to call it healthy diet and then you need to look for a cure. stupid people wanted to save 10 minutes a day on cat feeding ritual to get themselves cats with chronic diseases and then spend catillions on the cure. their kidneys are created just fine, simply give them unprocessed food that's been created for them by nature for the quality of life they deserve.
My cat passed away in February 24th 2024, she was 14 years old, so this segment on cats longevity is hopeful

I've lost 2 cats to CRF in the past, and I know my Lola has also not got the best kidneys already. So this is great news, I hope they are ready to market this medication worldwide eventually. But saying that, most vets will tell you that dry food only-diets plays a big role in kidney failure. Good hidration and wet food are very important for any kitty parent to aim at when caring for their cat throughtout their lives. Lola has her own little cup and takes a few sips whenever I go have a drink, and half her food is wet soupy food. We have to do our best as we can now.
