i have to admit i was one of those who jumoed on the bandwagon and hated it before playing it. I bought it and left it for 2 years. Just started playing it and DAMN it's good, the storyline, the realism, the different enemies reaction, graphics, environment, sounds, music..everything blew me away. Sorry for being and idiot !!

Part two does not even ruin the first game to begin with. This is a very irrational fear. The sequel is a masterpiece. You cannot deny that. And all aspects of part two were superior to the first game.

The sound design in the weapon customization "menu" is absolutely incredible. All the clicks and clunks and tings and dings are just *chef's kiss*.

Unfortunately I got massively spoiled as well. Actually I was looking for a review on the game and another CC had full spoilers in their timestamps without me having to click their video at all.
Glad to see you still enjoyed the game spoiled. Personally I just play for story so I feel like I won't get much out of Part 2 considering what I know now. Maybe one day when I sort of forget I'll be able to play this. But now I'm looking forward to that day should it ever come!
I feel the same way exactly! I waited until there was a sale and picked it up for $9.99. Yes, the story was unpredictable (I stay away from YouTube before I play anything). The game is AWESOME! I understand why people would be upset about the direction of the story; however, If first Last of Us followed the second character, you wouldn't have a problem with the story. It was creative, controversial, but very REAL in it's representation of consequenses. Well done and great review!!!
I had the exact same experience, I fumbled into a few spoilers and it put me off for a while, I'd guess I'm halfway through it right now and oh my God it's good.
I've never been happier to find out I was wrong about something (so far) your 100% right you do need to experience it. I've been playing with headphones and I've never been so tense while playing a game the design is amazing, and it evokes a dread and emptiness that I've never had in a game before, but then of course they sprinkle on the good feels when necessary.
This is shaping up to beat out part 1 for me and I'm so jacked about it.
I think the game was forced into one game. To me it feels like it should’ve been 2 games.

This game is an absolute masterpiece. Unfortunately, dumb Radical Reggie spoiled one of the main deaths after the game was out for about a month or two. Unsubscribed from that fool immediately. Awesome review man.

I’m so hyped I got this game on ps5 store for 10 bucks. Never played it because it was panned by some reviews I normally agree with and trust.
But I know why they are mad and I honestly don’t get it.
I played the last of us remake and am watching the show.
Even if you’re totally wrong (which I agree with you almost every time) I only spent 10 dollars. I love depressing SSRI bleak shit like this so I think I’m gunna enjoy it.
