There're just far too many game design flaws in Elden Ring to even consider it to be near the best of all time. For starters, the game has virtually no PC/KB+M support, the game cannot be run more than 60fps without installing cheats (disables multiplayer), 21:9 also requires cheats, the "tutorial" was half assed over a lunch break, the roll and sprint keys are double bound (can't change this) to which roll is on release and not keypress, the game has terrible optimization, 2010 graphics, the game heavily rewards cheesing runes/equipment to get past bosses, bosses and effects phase through walls 50% of the time, nonexistent PvP balance, and countless countless more issues. The writing and game art is phenomenal, but the actual gameplay has so much to be desired.
