I woke up one morning holding my red dobie Lucy's hand. She fell asleep at my side, as usual, but when she woke me up, she was looking at me with those dobie eyes. My first thought was…. who is this beautiful woman I met last night? These dogs are that amazing. Own one and you know, meet one and you wish. I am on my way to having Lucinda tested as a service dog. What does a super smart, elite athlete dog need…. Attention.. Your videos taught me how to raise a great dog. My family has included about half a dozen Dobermans for the last 40 years and they are a very rewarding breed to love but have some challenges. The bathroom thing is absolutely true! 🤣 They are very loving and can be possessive, especially when introducing a new dog in the family that has to share the attention. They usually figure it out on their own but you have to reinforce that they are still your best friend no matter what other animals come into the picture. They are actually great with cats and other dogs if properly socialized.

Aww my Axe looks right at me when I talk t him or when he is trying to tell me something. Ive had multiple Dobermans in my life..and they loved their blankies..They would drag it around and suck on it while they were sleeping with their paws holding it tightly. They were also smilers. Its amazing how they all had those traits.

Have had dobermans all my life. The one thing all of them did was stalk for fun. I would stand still in yard or hallway in house and they would stalk to me and then bounce and play and be so happy when I laughed at them.
Our 10 year old Dobie Zelda was just as you described. Her partner in crime and best friend for 5 years was our 5 year old Mini Schnauzer, Lili. Last March, Zelda snapped for no apparent reason and grabbed our precious Lili by the throat and proceeded to shake herr to death. Although she was well trained there was nothing we could do to stop her. Lesson learned, never get a small dog with a large dog. I found out that this is not uncommon. It was devastating and we are hearbroken.
After having a Doberman pick me out of a ranch FULL of people, all I see when I see a dobie is love and affection…even the aggressive ones….the owner of the ranch called me 48 hours later and begged me to take her home before she pined away…

Jacob goes where i go, that means Sams club, local grocery store Dr. Appointment and i am constantly getting stopped by people that share their stories of the Doberman they had in the past. Jacob brings so much joy and good memories to everyone that sees him. He was born in Hawaii traveled all the way to Florida in Lexus gx 470, now GX 460 . Without counting you tube Jacob is probably 1 of the most famous Doberman as he has touched hearts all the way across the nation.

My baby is a Doberman mix. She looks and acts just like a Doberman but is full grown at 30 pounds. My vet who raises rescue Dobermans is shocked by how much she looks and acts like a small Doberman. She is much bigger than the 10 pound dogs I’ve had previously though. She is super trainable except that she barks at me while I’m eating. The only thing that will make her stop is a timeout in the kitchen or outside. I’m the only one she does this to. She’s wonderful with my 7 and 4 year old grandsons the little one just needs to say act gentle and she does. The older one loves being her toy. Her favorite thing to do is to run and jump at bubbles from her bubble machine. I go through about 2 liters of bubble solution a week. If she just didn’t bark when I eat.
I'm a newer subscriber, I found doberman planet while conducting research on the breed and now I am a future european doberman mom. (I pick my little dude up in 4 weeks!) Watching your videos, trying to get as prepared as possible for this new partner in crime and I have to say, these videos are peaking my excitement and making me quite restless as I wait for him to be 8 weeks and ready to join our family. I'm keeping in mind that this is certainly the calm before the storm. Puppies are like infants! I know we have a long way to go, but I am so so thrilled to be able to experience the outcome of raising and training a euro dobie.
