The best way to get his arms off his bacc is to 1 equip your weakest staff 2 immobilize him 3 staff spin on his bacc….i didn’t unlock it until NG+ currently starting NG++

2 break off the arms u dont need a low lvl weapon just dont do combos and wait till he does the attack that he sits for a bit and lets u get a few hits and only hit his back that is how i did it and got the drop

I was unaware of this and went into the duel with Venom Doaist with enhanced tiger pills and Spellbinder turned on, I melted him in a matter of maybe 30 seconds.
