I hadn't played my Wii U in years. I had little problems with the Switch controls and love them. I actually turned off the gyroscope control because I get so into playing the game and lean along left and right causing my shots to fly wildly.
What they said.. give the option on the menu to switch your preference for buttons! Some of us don’t have years to relearn what should already be comfortable game play.

i like SOME of the newer controls … but you should be able to throw an unwanted weapon away with a shortcut going all the way to the pause menu is too much and it is driving my CRAZY the back button being B it used to be Y and i keep exiting out of things when I'm trying to select them!
I always loved the remastered editions where we had access to maps and items on the vpad. To me it created more of an immersive experience. Pausing to change an item takes that away… I just picked it up so I'm gonna give it a try! Thanks for this video!
These aren't the worst I've played with, but god damn, Nintendo should have let us mapped the controls our own way. The left analog stick-button (L3) is the crouch and not sprint? And swapping weapons with the D-pad is a bitch. Yes, let me take my thumb off the analog stick that keeps Link moving to avoid dying or use my other hand in a very awkward fashion. All this because weapons and shields have durability. Switching around the jump and sprint buttons helped a little, but not much. Why couldn't the "A" button be used to bring up the weapon menus, and the D-pad used to scroll through that instead?
