What if they’ve already had visual contact?
You help me sooo much
I need a video to help with a cat that already hates me
thank you, i got pong-pong a friend but when bang-bang came out of the box, pong-pong the 1rst resident did not like bangs the 2nd, at all and pongs is bigger,
i broke up the cat fight in seconds tho- bang-bang the smaller new cat was traumatized but i got them seperated into 2 differnent rooms and bangs the new cat has cheered up a little
– both cats were traumatized at the pet store by being dumped into a shelter by some bogus owners
– Pongs the first cat is very happy now, but Bangs the 2nd is still in unfamilar surroundings who was immediately aggressed by Pongs, i have told Pongs what a rude cat she was but she is very proud of herself anyway for thinking she was defedning the fort
i will not give up either cat they have already been abandoned and it crushed their souls but Pongs is extremely happy now after 2 or 3 days of moping about in the clothes drier that had some clothes in it- she felt safe in there but now she is super stoked and prowls around the house, very vocal- she will not play with normal toys she prefers to play with ink pen and plastic fork
little new Bangs slapped up by Pongs was aleady missing a tip of its ear in the pet shop thats healed up before Pong went aggro on her.
a little bit of catnip seemed to cheer Bangs up a bit, but big Pongs the first cat doesnt like to party- only kick ass.
i chose both cats because they were the most traumatized looking ones in the pet shop cages since i had a lot in common with their not so happy looks but they lower my anxiety and cause me to have self control instead punching walls and kicking trashcans
One thing I have to stress is please do NOT close your cat up in a bathroom for any reason.
It’s too cramped, and is usually devoid of any opportunity for a cat to look out a window.
Torturous for a cat. More like a prison than a “safe space”.
So 3 litter boxes for 2 cats?
Unfortunately this is another video that requires some type of mansion to live in (not a 1-bedroom apartment)
Thanks for the information 😊
Very clear and easy to follow, found this much more straightforward than Jackson galaxy
Maybe I've been lucky but my new kitten was thrown in at the deep end, and within 2 days both had accepted each other. 2 weeks in and they play fight and chase each other around. Young kitty seems more worried about strange humans than other cats.
I'm here because I'm in the middle of a cat drama 😵💫
Thank you very much. You explain everything so well. 🙂
5 months later I still have 2 cats that don’t like our new cat. Looking for help to correct the behavior of my aggressive brother cats who were here first.
Watch this on 1.5x speed or you will fall asleep 😂
We did all of these things over a month long period and the old cat still hates the new cat and keeps attacking it.
These are all purrfect scenarios 😄 what if we don’t have time to prepare? I just brought my 7cats to my parents home and they started fighting for territory so I’m trying to find designated space for each of them which is challenging enough . Now on top of that yesterday someone abandoned a 3week old kitten on our doorstep . Not enough space but couldn’t let die . So I had to move two of my other kittens to the balcony to clear out a room for the baby, now they are all mad and fights increased
Thanks for this very helpful video. I'm having difficulty with stage 4. My cat that already lives here, we've recently discovered is deaf and he's such more defensive and vocal than before.
Can you give any advice for how best to get them used to dinner dates? Is the door method still a good option?
Thanks again 🙏
is this possible to do in a studio apartment? I only have 1 separate little tiny room and its a bathroom… pls send opinions <3
Too much work. Also requires some big spaces normal Americans generally don't have. Do you think we all have a house? F-ing ridiculous.
Was about to start introducing them, after a week of isolating the street cat in case of spreading diseases. But the shelter group recommends i wait until new cat is vaccinated. Oh well! Also that new cat may be defensive right before and after giving birth. She's a stray found too pregnant to spay. I will foster the kittens until adoption and keep the mom 🙂
Now we need the video of introducing 5 cats in only 2 steps
Does this work if one of the cats is normally aggressive with other cats?
