No other game combines gameplay, story and voice acting like BG3 for me. Only cried one other time during a game and that was 20 years ago.

My friend gifted me with a generous sum of PSN wallet earlier this year. I used it to get a PS+ subscription, and buy BG3, which was on sale at the time. And though I harbor a slight apprehension towards the menu wheel system (I still do, but warmed up to it a little), I played nothing else for the next 2 months, completing 2 playthroughs back to back and almost reaching 400 hours of playtime.
Happy birthday, BG3. Can't wait for patch 7.
Still over 100k players on Steam, it's beating just about every new live service right now including Helldivers 2 proving that launch hype isn't everything. BG3 is looking to be the game of the generation and decade if it keeps holding these numbers year after year.
I, like many other people, are very thankful that Larian Studios did the job that they did for Baulder's.Gate 3.
It gave us an immersion level that, even today, is unbelievable.

I wish I could erase my memory and see Shadowheart spare the nightsong for the first time again. And the subsequent cutscene…mind blowing.
The beginning is really slow and might not motivate some players keep going but the game starts to open up after you finish act 1
90 % of the gear is either very situation specific or worthless. there are game breaking items like the reverberation gloves, shoes and neck etc.
Act 3 is super confusing during your first playthrough
My main gripes with this game.
For me with these types of games. It's a LOT of reading! I don't play video games to read text off a screen, but BG3 makes me want to, and it's concice and staight forward for the most part. Streamlining the walls of text and allowing for some fluid gameplay outside of turnbased combat is what makes BG3 accesible. This is coming from someone who owns every FIFA game since 2003 and they are my most played games. I'm a sportsball guy who plays sports games but I love this fantasy RPG. They nailed it.

it is a great game but a bit linear. they should adopt quantity over quality motto for their next game and make more varied experience even lf this means sacrificing cinematic storytelling.

I hope the nexus modding community picks back up fir this game was making a mod list and found a few good mods that add alot to the game but couldn't be used due to some aspects of the mods no longer working one I really likes that mostly didn't work was dragonborn compendium adds different subraces to the game probably like 10 unique type with different breath attacks that just didn't work anymore I'm just saying it's not a big deal cuz thr game is amazing unmodded but it would be nice to see those mods be attended too to add just a Lil more variety to the game

I recently got BG3. Got really bored with it by the time I reached level 6. I personally think its over rated. Takes for ever to play because of all the cut scenes. Crafting and Alchemy are very weak. Plants don't regrow. Doesn't really have a whole lot of enemies to fight so far. Played through Act 1 so far. I killed everything for exp because its very hard to level up if you don't wipe everything out and talk your way out of a fight. I did like the spider battle early on. Weapons animation are super weak for a DnD game. For example if you have a fire weapon you can barely tell it. Haven't found an Ice, Acid or lightning weapon yet. There are potions you can use for Ice and fire that I've seen so far. Combat animations and spell animations are very weak as well. After you rescue Halson or what ever the Druid's name is seems like he wants to go full blown gay on you if you talk to him at a party. Astarion is definitely funny as a 3 dollar bill. There is nudity in the game if you want it but I fail to see how that adds value. If you like a lot of cut scenes and enjoy extra powers because you have a tadpole in your head. its all good. TBH I'm very disappointed that I paid $70 USD for it. Wish I had of gotten Elden Ring and passed on BG3 but the hype has been great. So I fell for it.

A full year later and the 3rd act is still an unfinished buggy mess.

Man when this game launched last year I was in the peak of my busy season so I made myself wait until the winter which is my off season to play it. I'm really glad I did because the amount of nights I would stay up until 5am playing, go to sleep, then wake up at 1-2pm and play the game all night were seemingly endless and it was a great month of vacation.
Its great but couldnt not get to act 2 , yes skill issue but also to much choices to go to.
