How to wrap dog’s tail for “Happy Tail”

Do you dress the cut area? Ointment and gauze first before taping?

My dog keeps chewing on her tail to the point where she made a long mark would this type of wrapping work for her tail

If my dog's tail is bloody and part of the tail has an open wound should I use gauze to wrap the whole tail then use the adhesive purple tape to wrap the tail and protect it? That's what I've been doing. But I see that you used the white tape to tape each side of tail.

I keep my dogs tail wrapped and change the bandages daily. It’s starting to have a foul smell though, should i be worried?

My dog did wear this well during the day but cried at night. I wondered if I had wrapped it too tight, but when I took it off to check, it was bleeding a little. Then it seemed like he had gotten distressed because it had caused him to be afraid to poop. Do you have any other suggestions? Could I wrap the tail partially?

Any wet or dry meds on the tail? There is a sore on the end of the tail from him grabbing and spinning in a circle.

Is the purple wrap enough to stop the bleeding? My pup has a pretty big cut from happy tail, my house looks like a crime scene (blood splatter everywhere) so I wanted to put gauze at the end

Cant believe how much your puppy looks like my new shelter dog with happy tail (other than the white feet!)
