Personally Ruby Sapphire n Emerald were lightning in a bottle. Loved them and ORAS was epic.

It…would be (too) easy to call gen 3 "my favorite gen" if I were to base it on my "enthusiasm" for the colors, graphics, and music at the time. But I don't think personal gaming/adult principles can allow that. Game Freak knew much better what they were doing in the first 2 gens, and even managed to make them connect with one another. Although it did reignite my poke-spark after 3 stagnant years since Pokemon Gold/Silver came out in 2000.

You know what I just realized? When Pokemania hit USA in 1999, and Red/Blue was already 3 years old at this point (1996). And Then It was actually super convenient for Pokemon Gold/Silver to hit USA literally a year later in 2000. AND THEN us USA kids were forced to wait a staggering 3 years before Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire came out.
Emerald was best and so was Tokyo Drift
Gen 3, but especially Emerald, is S tier Pokemon, imo.
